A hour ago we ordered 3 simple things from the lunch menu... and we’ve just chased staff to find out where it is. The manager had just come out to tell us he’s lost the order, and it’s not even a busy day ‍♂️‍♂️ He seemed fairly efficient at taking our money though.

You’re got to wonder what else goes on if they fail at the basics.

Not somewhere we would come again.

Bulkeley_Hotel, Manager at The Bulkeley Hotel, responded to this reviewResponded 25 June 2019

As mentioned on the day of your visit a mistake was unfortunately made on a busy sunny day where we served over 200 customers in our coffee shop alone, our members of staff apologized and we refunded your food and you were given free drinks as an apology along with the lunch which was brought out as quickly as possible after the mistake was brought to our attention . Again we apologize for the wait.

We’ve visited this hotel a few times. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating! It’s fantastic that it’s dog friendly so we are able to bring the dog. The afternoon tea is very nice. Definitely worthy of a visit if in Anglesey.

We are just finishing a two day stay at The Bulkeley and can honestly say that it is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The staff are so friendly and helpful and we have felt really looked after. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean and nice and cosy. The breakfast was gorgeous, help yourself. The full English was a real treat and lots of variety. The bistro serves great food and the coffee shop has the most amazing cakes. The location is unbeatable, right near the pier. I loved the fact it is dog friendly too, so nice to see dogs around the hotel. If you are thinking of booking a stay here don’t hesitate, you won’t regret it! We are already planning our next stay!

Nice hotel with sea view, with private parking. Beaumaris castle and city center nearby. Staff was very friendly, room with view on the beach was comfortable, restaurant OK. Breakfast offers every thing you need.

Stayed as a base for a walking holiday. The staff were very friendly and obliging and worked hard in a busy environment. The food was lovely and pricing was good. This compensated for the definite need for decoration and fitting updates. The rooms were clean and maintained as well as they could be without capital injection but some items were very dated e.g threadbare regency replica chairs in our bedroom No 21. The views from some windows were not good overlooking roofs of other properties that were not well maintained.
