Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Shocking attitude from the owner.
I don't know where to start. We had a pleasant time here. However, a few days after we got home we received an appalling email from Jo telling us we left the lodge in "complete dissaray". She then listed a series of issues with the lodge that she claimed were caused by us. She literally made stuff up and also accused of us having more than maximum occupancy staying! Truly unbelievable. When we arrived the hot tub wasn't ready. We didn't omplain about this. Then the dishwasher was broken on arrival and again we didn't complain. She said it would be fixed by the Monday. This didn't happen. She said she was sorry and said it was going to be replaced in a few days time , halfway in to our holiday. Again, we didn't complain and simply said don't worry these things happen. She did offer to refund us £200 for the inconvenience of this which I didn't want to take up. Anyway, after we got home, she falsely claimed we broke the air con unit ( we didn't even use it) falsely claimed we Broke a toothbrush holder ( we didn't it was already faulty).said we broke a door handle, again, we didn't. Said we left dirty pots and pans( again , just made up stuff) as all dishes were cleaned and put away. All kitchen surfaces were wiped down. Admittedly I didn't clean out the fridge and forgot to strip the bed sheets. She also took issue with the fact the floors weren't cleaned to perfection. She found a dummy, a bottle and other crumbs and crisps in a few corners of the lodge. However, were paying five star prices, over 300 per night. Being asked to strip the bed sheets is usually only asked of people staying in a hostel. We had 5 kids with us so difficult to take the time to tidy the lodge to the ridiculous standard she expects. She stated in an email she expects it to be left how it was found which was absolutely absurd and I've never heard of this on my life at any other accommodation we've been to. We spent hours cleaning it but apparently we should allocate more of our holiday to make sure it's how we found it. Madness. We did have an issue with a cupboard door on the kitchen that came off its hinges that if I had a screwdriver I would have fixed in 2 mins. It wasn't damaged just needed re attached. I informed her of this immediately. It's clear in between visits they do not take an infantry of items and do not keep on top of what works and what doesn't and have just decided to attribute a whole host of stuff that had nothing to do with us . When I tried to address these issues and correct her, she ignored all of it. My guess is she will respond to this because she knows I won't be able to reply again so she will have the last word. Absolutely astonishingly bad service. Be very careful if you go here and take pictures of everything before you leave. It's a beautiful setting and we enjoyed our time but the self entitled behaviour of the owner after we left was dumbfounding. It's like she doesn't appreciate people are paying her a huge amount of money similar to that of a 5 start hotel.

Amazing Retreat...
We had the most amazing holiday in 20 golf view... the hot tub was so relaxing and just what we needed... My eldest boy loved the playstaion and having his own big bed with an en suite.... I absolutely loved the little touches like the bottle of prosecco on arrival and the white company smellies were gorge...... Our little cavapoo loved being able to chase her ball on the greenery..Weve stayed at hafan y mor many times, this was the best experience by far... We all had such a lovely relaxing holiday, just what we all needed... thank you jo xx

Beautiful lodge in perfect location
Just back from my 3rd visit to this beautiful lodge which is just perfect, from location (idyllic views), the lodge itself (home from home) the hot tub (luxurious) and to the owner Jo who is so accommodating and hospitable. We love it here so much as the dog has the freedom of practically a deserted beach just a short walk from the lodge and teenagers who like the hub of the haven park - another short walk in the other direction.

Another wonderful stay
This is about the 6th time we have stayed here and we never fail to enjoy ourselves. Beautifully clean lodge, and wonderful sea views. Our labrador Jet loves it too. Jo, the host is fantastic with excellent communication throughout. Wonderful coastal walks on your doorstep. Set in a peaceful location on the park with plenty of entertainment within walking distance if you want it. Already planning our return.

outstanding stay
Booked to stay at hafan y mor privately at 20 gold View. Jo couldn't be more helpful from start to finish. Any questions we had where quickly answered which made our stay much easier. We have been to hafan y mor multiple times and keep coming back as we love the park. Recent refurbishments at the lower section of the park have made the park much better. The lodge itself is beautiful and very well equipped with top quality additional features. Lodge was very clean and well presented. Out of our multiple stays over the years this has been the best stay we have had and we believe we have found a gem at 20 golf view and cant wait to book again next year.

Perfect family holiday!!
We’ve just returned from a 5 day stay at 20 golf view Hafan y mor. We’ve stayed on the site plenty times before and this was by far the BEST stay we’ve had! There was myself (Chloe) and my husband Jonny, our 11month old daughter and our dog! Joanne was so lovely right from the beginning helping us book, answering all our questions with great detail and providing us with all the relevant information as we got closer to the time of check in! The lodge itself is BEAUTIFUL! So homely, clean, beautiful decor and spacious. Situated in a gorgeous location overlooking the golf course and across to the sea! (It is about a 10 minute walk down to all the park amenities but well worth the nice stroll down for the gorgeous views!!) You couldn’t ask for more... but there is! We were welcomed with a very thoughtful goodie bag which was so kind and unexpected (I won’t give the details and spoil the surprise!) Each bedroom was spotlessly clean and very spacious and a tv in each. we managed to get the travel cot in the twin room! That’s another thing... we didn’t need to take anything! Bedding and towels (plenty!) provided (Just take your own for the swimming pool if your going!) a travel cot, high chair and push chair all there already! (We took our own pram but used the travel cot, just took bedding, and high chair which were perfect!) And meant so much more room in the car not having to take all ours from home! The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you can possibly need included a coffee machine! The lounge has beautiful views across to the sea. A PS4 with links to YouTube, Netflix, you name it! The decking is dog safe with self closing gates and a tap for muddy paws. Beautiful outdoor furniture to enjoy and a fire pit (we didn’t use as it was far too windy on our stay). And of course the hot tub! Perfect views to enjoy whilst relaxing on an evening with a glass of fizz! The hot tub had been emptied and cleaned prior to us arriving. We got in it about 7.30pm on the first night and the temp was up to 35 so was lovely and comfortable. By the next morning it was up to 38 and that is warm! And a man from the company who look after the tub for the family came on the Wednesday of our mid week stay to check it over. Very well cared for. The family obviously take a lot of pride in their home from home at Hafan Y Mor and it shows from the moment you walk in. Such care and attention into making sure everything is perfect for your stay and you feel at home yourself upon arriving. Everything in the lodge is of high quality and you couldn’t ask for more! I hope others enjoy their stay as much as we have and we look forward to hopefully booking again in the future. Big thank you from the Heap family x

Breathtaking, peaceful, tranquility - a much needed break
The lodge is perfect, truly a home away from home with every little detail thought about. The location was perfect for us. Just off the costal path which was great for walking with the dog. The part of the pack is close enough to nip to the shops or for a takeaway dinner, but far enough away so to not be able to hear all the noise. The lodge has everything and more you could need. The finishing touches really made it a luxurious time away from home. The glass of sparkle on the first night watching the sun set from the hot tub set the break away off perfectly. Jo was great from start to finish, nothing too much which made booking a breeze. Will be looking to book again next year

Haven Heaven
We recently spent a 3 night stay with family at this splendid lodge and I cannot speak highly enough about it. As it says within the owners description, everything and more is supplied....you want for nothing. The overall quality is first class including the actual location of the lodge on site which is set on the edge of the golf course with stunning views of the coast line and beyond....total tranquillity is ensured!

Excellent! We will be going back numerous times!
From start to finish this was a perfect holiday! Joanne was lovely, she made sure we had all the information, help and support we needed from the moment of booking until our holiday finished - she thought of everything (as stated in previous reviews by others)! Excellent facilities, lovely location, stunning views and a lovely atmosphere. We went with our two sons (11 and 4) who are both full time wheelchair dependent with lots of machines/ oxygen etc to support them, Joanne was extremely accommodating and supportive prior to our stay and with a few adaptations on our part (in the bedrooms/ bathrooms) the accommodation worked wonderfully for us as a family. If any other families are thinking of going with anybody who is a wheelchair user, I highly recommend it. We had to carry our boys through to the bedrooms (full size beds, lots of storage) and showers (shower chair) however this was easily done between us. The lounge, kitchen, dining area and decking are completely accessible and very spacious. Our boys had a wonderful holiday and loved going in the hot tub! We will be hopefully going back every year!
