We'd been given a Christmas present of a voucher for a night at the hotel, with dinner. Definitely lived up to its reputation. Staff were charming and professional; the food was excellent. And of course the location is wonderful. Enjoyed people-watching, as we arrived to find a lunchtime wedding reception happening, complete with brass band playing a medley of Tom Jones songs!

Always wanted to stay here so as a birthday treat booked a room in the village which was amazing with fabulous views over the estuary and village. The staff made the experience very special, ate in the hotel for breakfast and dinner which was excellent.

Room Tip: Village room

This was my third stay at the hotel along with my partner. A beautiful, peaceful Art Deco building. The staff, waiters and waitresses were attentive without being obtrusive, and very smart. The bedrooms were clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Haute cuisine food did not disappoint and the breakfast wholesome. Portmeirion village and grounds are enchanting with good woodland walks. To quote Mr McGoohan " beautiful enough, mysterious enough and confining enough to be the place for our man in isolation"

Room Tip: Rooms 8 and 11 are nice and quiet with splendid views of the estuary. Comfortable.

Stayed 2 nights in one of the villas, a 2 bedroomed with lounge in the heart of Portmeirion, it was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. There was complementary sherry and bottle of wine and we were offered transport to the hotel for our meals if needed.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet, great views and luxurious

Just returned from my third stay at Portmeirion and it was superb as ever. Staying in the village itself is a magical experience. The rooms/ suites are all unique in both layout and decor so there is something to meet everyone’s requirements and taste. Fabulous location of course, with beautiful views over the estuary and/ or the village itself. Everyone is so friendly and there is a great attention to detail. Excellent breakfast in the mail hotel. Dinner is a lovely fine dining experience.
