The hotel is right near the castle ruins and therefore at the top of a hill so not great for the infirm. Free parking on the street directly outside. The hotel itself looks very tired inside and out. It is clean, however, which is the main thing for me. The owner was Chatty enough and helpful with taxis and local info and the breakfasts were decent. The public sitting room wasn't comfy but we didn't use it much. So, you get a no frills, basic hotel which, if you don't mind the hill, is in a great spot for the views and the village.

We stayed at the Marine hotel for a Friday and Saturday night. We were welcomed by the owners upon our arrival and after a quick, easy check in were shown to our rooms. The room we stayed in was clean, tidy with a good supply of tea and coffee. The facilities within the room were all clean and in good working order. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and nothing was too much trouble. While we were out on the Saturday our room was cleaned and drinks restocked. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the beach and about 8 minutes from the town centre. The view from some of the rooms look out on to Criccieth castle.
To sum it up, nice hotel, nice location, nice friendly owners. Would I stay again. YES.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Room was very large with a very comfy double bed and bunk beds and an ensuite. Shower was a bit drizzly and not much hot water but was fine through tap. Room clean, bedding clean, very comfy. Owners are extremely friendly and very welcoming and willing to accomodate wherever they can. Plenty of choice of food for breakfast and very good service.
On first impresssion yes maybe the Hotel looked a little tired but for the amount of time we actually stayed in our room, this didn't matter. We were extremely happy with our stay and would go back again.

Just had a 2 night stay here with a large group of friends all doing a tour of Snowdonia on our motorbikes.,A mass of leather clad arrivals would normally send hoteliers running, not here Gaynor(the owner) took it in her stride and made us all welcome.Breakfast was lovely and my room was clean and tidy with a sea view. The bar was used at the beginning of the night and the end before bed quite often with a local chatting amiably.
I would use this hotel again if i was up that way .

Stayed at the Marine Hotel for 2 nights with a group of friends touring Snowdonia on motorbikes. We booked a Superior Double room with sea view.
We were greeted and shown to our rooms by the friendly proprietors and check-in was quick and efficient (just what was needed after a long day of riding from Bristol).
Our room was huge and the bed was very comfortable indeed. The views were amazing, taking in both the sea and Criccieth Castle across the road from the hotel.
The hotel bar was reasonably priced and well stocked with a large selection of beverages including local ale and cider.
Breakfast was included in our booking. The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly.
I would not hesitate to return to the Marine Hotel if I come to the area again in future.

Room Tip: Room 16 (Tower Suite) has great views of the sea and Criccieth Castle
