We took a short weekend break at the Tyn-y-coed when our climbing hut booking when wrong. I was really disappointed by this so my husband found us a room here instead. What a fantastic alternative! Beautiful en suit room with a view, amazing food but what really stands out about the Tyn-y-coed is the staff who are so friendly, helpful and even though they're working hard all day long remain cheery and committed to making guests welcome. Although we're still on table service, this doesn't impact at all on the quality of service offered- there's no long waits for your drinks or food and the food was delicious.

My friend and I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights whilst we walked around the Glyders. Absolutely superb in every aspect. Welcoming friendly accommodating are just a few of the words I could use. Excellent bar. Excellent menu. Packed lunches available. In the current circumstances the rooms and bar area etc are cleaned to within an inch of their lives. Totally welcoming to all visitors from wherever in the world. Typically British/Welsh b&b accommodation but with every need catered for. TV coffee/tea machine Great beds. Bar very well organised for covid with full cleaning between guests. Staff and owners never stop working to provide an excellent service. Thanks to all.

Excellent venue, friendly staff and great food. This is the best pub for walkers and tourers in the locality with superb access to Moel Siabod, the Cefyn y Capel ridge and river walk to Betws y Coed. Great, well-equipped rooms with good beer, and excellent ‘specials’ on the food menu. A great stay thanks.

We stayed here for two nights at the last minute. We were welcomed by Carol and Mark on arrival and they could not do enough to make our stay comfortable, despite the covid restrictions. All covid precautions were observed by staff and visitors. A varied menu was provided along with a daily specials board. We had the full cooked breakfast which was excellent and just the job to set you up for a days outdoor activity. The hotel is well located at the side of the A5 with gorgeous views of the surrounding hills. There is a large car park. The location is excellent for all outdoor activities with walks right from the doorstep, and the tourist attraction of Betys-y-coed a very short drive away. A wonderful stay in a traditional coaching Inn !
