This museum should be a definite part of your visit. The museum is well laid out and charts civil rights from slave trade onwards with a focus on Martin Luther King. I spent a couple of hours here and found it very thought provoking. A truly awesome experience.

The history is amazing and moving. The 12 minute video was eye opening. The extended memorabilia with all the hands on visual art work and pictures...amazing.

I expected this to be the least interesting part of our trip but I was wrong. There was so much information to take in and it is so well presented. I think everyone had a good time

We visited last Jan, but would love to go back. It was very well done- interactive and gives an extensive history of the Civil Rights movement. I had been to the Civil Rights museum in Montgomery, AL and thought it was well done. This one blows it away! It is on par with a Smithsonian Museum or the WWII Museum in New Orleans. Don't miss it! Allow at least two-three hours to tour.
