We were visiting Scotland for the weekend and driving from Edinburgh to Glencoe, when we were looking for somewhere en route for a good pub lunch.

We actually found this place via tripadvisor map and were not disappointed.

It was really busy but we were lucky to get a table in the main restaurant section. With the decor and atmosphere you certainly feel like you are in a Countryside pub but a modern and elegant one.

The food was on point too. We shared a starter of smoked salmon and for main, I had fish and chips and Tom had Haggis, Neeps and Tatties. They were all delicious.

Good service, although it clearly was a busy time! Not cheap but worth it.

Would recommend this place and if ever in the area again, would return!

We've just arrived back from an all too brief two night stay and I felt compelled to leave a review. The brand new refurbishment of the ground floor has been undertaken with such careful planning, that this wonderful place now looks even better! They've taken all of the elements we've come to know and love and improved them so there's more space, greater comfort, and all without affecting the cosy and intimate atmosphere, which must have been no mean feat. The food was exceptional and our stay coincided with the launch of Chef Hetherington's new menu, which is a great blend of old favourites and new 'stars' and there's something for everyone. We stayed in the Lomond Suite, which is beautiful, spacious and exceptionally comfortable and as ever, cleanliness and service couldn't be faulted. Finally, the crowning element is the attitude and presentation of the entire staff team. Across the entire board, they are engaged, engaging and professional and everything comes with a smile and a genuine wish to provide the guest with great service and the very best of experiences. Thanks again LLAH, you deserve every accolade in the book!

Here for work in the area. Hotel was very comfortable. The staff very friendly and the food delicious. Will definitely come back! I had a single room, which was very clean and comfortable. Very much enjoyed relaxing by the fire in the evening!

Room Tip: Single rooms very comfortable for solo travellers

First of all when my husband booked this hotel it didn’t say that they gonna renovate the restaurant and the bar so when we arrived and wanted a nice drink to relax it was only tiny little room that could fit few people and very small selection of drinks. The reception was in another building which also the temporary restaurant as well. The room was nice but very cold even though the heating was on. At the dinner time we ordered cheese board as a third course but we waited 25minutes for it and when we approached waiter to find out what’s happened to it she said that chefs had another function in the other room and our cheeseboard is half way done and we gonna have wait even longer for it. They run out off the good gins also. At the breakfast time was only one person serving breakfast for all the tables so the wait was long. Overall not impressed at all with how unorganised everything was in this hotel I’m guessing maybe was because of the refurbishment work going, still for the amount of money we paid for the stay they should refund us half of if as definitely we didn’t get what we paid for.

Recently enjoyed an overnight stay at the Loch Lomond Arms hotel, and must say it was a real pleasure to stay here.

One negative point to begin with was that the hotel was undergoing extensive renovation work (has to be done i appreciate) but we weren't informed beforehand, and it also meant the restaurant was moved into the function suite, and the bar was drastically reduced in size.

Negative aside, our stay at the hotel was exceptional. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to one of the recently renovated suites (the 'riversedge' cottage - huge plus for the real log fire) and it was one of the most comfortable and well designed rooms i've had the pleasure of staying in, ever! Only downside to the location of the cottages and suites is that they are on the opposite side of the 'A' road that runs by Luss village, which, at the weekends, can become thunderously busy and a pain to cross.

My partner and I also ate in the hotel's restaurant (both dinner and breakfast) and the food across the board was lovely! The cullen skink and traditional haggis, neeps and tatties were both served piping hot and flavourful (as was my girlfriends pie of the day). Breakfast menu also has a wide range of choice to cater for all types of morning people!

I'd thoroughly recommend both this hotel and Luss village in general to anyone looking for a change of scenery from the more popular areas of Balloch or Duck Bay Marina! For those travelling by public transport, the hotel and village are also only 60 mins or so from Glasgow.
