“Absolutely lovely stay at Croftearn”
Reviewed 20 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

The property was so easy to find and we were welcomed to a warm cottage,
Very well kept and clean inside, you can tell a lot of time and effort has went in to making this property as wonderful as it is. Fully equipped for all your needs.
The beds were extremely comfortable and spacious, in fact, the entire property pleasantly surprised us as it was much larger than the photos had us believe. Ample space for me and my boyfriend, and could comfortably fit a family of four I am sure.
The views from the cottage windows were just stunning, from the kitchen and living room you can see right over across a field with two hills on either side, surrounding Loch Awe.
Me and my partner are not experienced hill walkers and were just looking for a leisurely stroll, I think Lochearnhead accommodates all fitness levels and interests. Lovely little town to explore.
Would love to return in the summer months.

“Well equipped comfy cottage in an accessible location”
Reviewed 8 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Croftearn is a traditional Scottish bungalow, completely modernised internally, situated by the side of the A84 road and overlooking Loch Earn. There's off-road parking and a little garden, but being next to the main road it's a bit noisy for sitting out. The cottage is a minute's walk from the local store which never seems to close and has all the basics - you won't get haute cusine but you won't starve either.

The cottage was clean and well-equipped - there was even fresh milk in the fridge and some millionaire's shortbread to welcome us. Don't bring frozen food - the fridge hasn't got an ice box. On the other hand there is free wifi and a hair dryer. Similarly the energy saving light bulbs are a bit dingy for reading in the evenings - but there is a big telly on the wall and a DVD (not blu-ray) player.

Lochearnhead is good location with easy access in all directions, and not too far from the central belt. If you're looking to stay there, Croftearn is a handy little cottage.

“A hidden treasure in a fantastic location”
Reviewed 19 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We fancied a week away at the beginning of the Easter holidays - two adults, two teenagers and a dog off to explore Scotland. Getting the boys to share a bedroom was clearly going to be a challenge but they both knew we would struggle to get a three bedroom cottage for our budget.

So we found this cottage and took a chance and boy were we happy with it! Whilst it is is a two bedroom both rooms are big enough and two teenagers were able to share the smaller twin room with the minimum of fuss. The main bedroom was also good size and there was plenty of storage for us all.

The living room offered a great tv and comfortable seating for the evenings and we were more than satisfied with what the kitchen offered.

Lochearnhead is a beautiful place, the local shop well stocked (possibly the nicest sausage rolls in Scotland!) and will provide for most of your daily needs. There are supermarkets a little further out. There are also plenty of places to eat and drink out and it is worth exploring.

We did the Glen Ogle walk which was fantastic and it is less than an hour from Loch Lomond which offers different walks, including a ferry across to Inchailloch also worth visiting Cruachan hydro electric power station and it is well positioned for Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

One of the best features of the cottage was after a long day walking in the cold, the cottage is lovely and warm. We then just relaxed watching tv or making use of the free wifi (a definite must for the boys! - as they will sacrifice some stuff but not Facebook!)

Overall a beautiful week away and we would definitely recommend
