“Wonderful cottage, with fantastic views”

We stayed at Rose cottage for a week on a recent family holiday to Strontian. It was a wonderful base to explore Arnamurchan. Chrissie is a wonderful host and welcomed us with a basket of goodies and we booked her delicious beef stew for our first night. The hot tub was a big hit with everyone after climbing Ben Nevis. I would highly recommend this cottage.

“Well equipped cottage in stunning location ”

Rose Cottage enjoys a commanding view over a beautiful wooded valley close to Loch Sunart. It feels remote, but Strontian village with its well-stocked shop and cafe is only a 20 minute stroll through the woods. As well as the cafe, there are 3 places to eat within a short walk.

The cottage is super comfortable and has every amenity, with good quality cookware including steamers. You can start the evening lolling outside in the hot tub with your glass of wine, enjoying the views across the valley, then settle down in front of the log burning stove.

Chris and Chrissie provide a very useful welcome pack including home baked bread. Highly recommended!

“Amazing 5* cottage!!! Fab holiday never wanted to leave!!”
Reviewed 9 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We stayed in Rose Cottage for a long weekend and never wanted to leave!

The pictures dont do this place justice, inside and out are just stunning.

Kitchen is supplied with all mod cons. Living room very cosy with wood burner. Bedrooms were great and the comfiest beds ever! Hot tub was fab with the most amazing views.

The hot tub is shared with the house next door but this didnt cause us any issues. All towels provided.

Chris and Chris were great hosts. Fresh homemade scones, bread and jams on arrival which were very tasty. On hand whenever we needed them but also left us to it.

Great location, close enough for day trips to Ben Nevis, Mull, Staffa and Tobermory.

We had an amazing few days (the 20C pure sun weather helped aswell!!)

Would defo recommend and will be revisiting.

“Beautiful location, great amenities, hot tub with a view to die for”
Reviewed 21 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Myself, Paul and our Dog Ruby thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rose cottage. Firstly the house is kitted out with everything you need, the lovely owners really have thought of everything. Their attention to detail is what makes the place so special. Well that and the incredibly positioned hot tub!
The owners provided a lovely warm welcome with a fresh baked loaf and some delicious homemade scones.
Very romantic place to laze around and many beautiful walks and castles to visit and see. We would love to come back again! Truly worth the 5 stars.

“fantastic location with a fabulous view”
Reviewed 15 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We stayed in Rose cottage for 4 nights with family. I was pretty impressed with the fantastic view that the cottage had to offer. Loved the cottage itself as well. The cottage delivered as per the description on its website.
The hosts were very friendly, they provided us with warm scones and home made bread which was very kind of them.
The hot tub that sits outside of the cottage and is shared with the adjacent cottage is an icing on the cake, We sat there in the evenings taking in the beauty surrounding the cottage.
I will definitely recommend this cottage and would love to visit it again.
