Stayed at The Argyll Inn with friends, Saturday night. Warm and friendly welcome, with a log fire burning in the Bar. Room was clean and comfortable.En suite, etc. All the food is homemade, good sized portions and very tasty.I had the homemade, Macaroni Cheese,Yummy. My friend raved about the Crab Bisque. Well done to Stuart and his staff. Will be back again.

Had Christmas dinner tonight which was superb. Good choices, excellent service and attractive environment. Will be back again. Lunch in the week was also fabulous. The new landlords are making a fantastic job of the pub!

Popped in for a drink and hoped for bar supper but sadly kitchen is being refitted. Rather than blankly leave us hungry the new owner drove us to a nearby hotel - as there were no taxis - where we ate. He kindly offered to pick us up if there were still no taxis. So....still no taxis available after dinner so after a short phone call he returned to pick us up and take us back to B&B. And refused any payment. Amazing customer service that others should note. A new proprietor who genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. Will be back in future to sample food in Argyll when refit done. Thanks again for helping us out on a chilly December evening and going the extra mile..or four.

Stopped in for a few drams and to warm up. Nice fire and quaint place. Friendly locals and staff. Definitely would go back! Has a very old feel inside but so tidy and spacious. Make sure to give it a visit when you are in town!

Well honestly this is pretty dreadful; no food, no real ale and only one lager. However this was only £3.20 which must be considered an absolute bargain for Scotland. There is an outside seating area for smokers but you can't get at it from the pub and have to walk down the road.
However there is always two sides to a story and further investigation revealed that this is a new tenancy. The landlord turned out to be a nice sort of chap and has plans for the future so it is to be hoped that future reports will be far more complimentary
