What a beautiful location to be married. Excellent service and quality of the food amazing at the castle.
Staff very helpful throughout the day.
Castle room rather dated though think they are in the process of refurbishment.
Hotel more modern and great breakfast

Rooms in need of tlc - old, tired furniture though spacious - not really 4 star standard! Room was clean enough and very quiet, even though there was a wedding on during our stay.

Breakfast okay, nothing to get excited about, but evening meal was excellent!

Surrounding area is lovely - visited Bannockburn visitor's centre which was very good - seeing the battle in 3D was amazing! Also recommend a walk around Lock Katrine - spectacular!

Overall, really enjoyed my visit to area, hotel average but good value for money if on a dinner, b&b package.

had two night stay a great visit from start to finish had dinner in hotel first night excellent six of us served within a short time. breakfast great variety to choose from cereal, yoghurts, fresh fruits, too fully cooked breakfast. had a couple of hours at the spa in the afternoon and then we had afternoon tea felt as if we were being treated like family. We will be back again next year.

Room Tip: rooms very hot had to ask porter to turn down heating. but won't stop us going back again.

We've been to Airth Castle before on business and for dinner but never as a family (me, husband, 6 year old and 1 year old) for an overnight. The castle itself is stunning from the outside and the drive up is lovely. Plenty of parking on site. The rooms themselves are not in the castle.

Our family room had lots of space, a double bed, a single bed, a cot and a sofa bed. It had everything you would expect from a 3 star room, not 4 star. The rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment. The decor is drab, the carpets are worn, the tiles in the bathroom are cracked, the furniture is on its last legs ..... Lots of old mahogany. The sockets look a little dangerous and the glass covering the bedside tables slid around a lot. Not very safe when children are staying in the rooms.

Those were the negatives .... on the plus side the room had lovely big windows with a view of the castle, robes and slippers is a nice touch and not usually expected unless in a 5 star, ample tea and coffee facilities, spotless bed linen and very comfortable beds. The bathroom also had a fab shower. Great pressure and plenty of hot water.

The pool area is a good size and the kids enjoyed a swim. However the check in desk is rarely manned so you can ages waiting on a towel. Probably best to take your own. The changing rooms also need refurbished.

The dining room is bright and spacious and noisy (in a good way). The kids were made very welcome and the staff very friendly but they seem very understaffed. There were long waits for the food and we had to order an appletiser for my son with 4 different waiting staff before it finally made an appearance. That being said the food was delicious when it arrived. And at £99 total for dinner bed and breakfast you can't expect much more than that. Breakfast was delicious but again, long queues and staff were slow to replenish food and plates when they ran out.

I would return on the same deal but wouldn't be willing to pay anymore than that based on the rooms needing upgraded and the long waits in the restaurant and bar.

Excellent! All enjoyed a first class visit to Airth Castle . Staff were most helpful and meals were very good . Would certainly go back for next family get together. On the Saturday we enjoyed a visit to the Kelpies, and the children had a fun time at the swing park . Very central location, and good value .
