Stayed one night at Toravaig in the Eriskay room. The room itself was lovely, nicely decorated with a comfortable sleigh bed, table and chairs, desk and modern bathroom with lovely powerful shower. What the website doesn't make obvious though is that the hotel is set right on the main road (although to be fair even a main road in Skye is pretty empty) and the view from first floor Eriskay room is out onto the carpark and road (i think the website called it a 'side' view). For one night it was fine but would definitely try and get a room with a view if you can as the views from the other sides of the hotel are stunning.
We didn't eat in the hotel as ate down the road at Kinloch Lodge (absolutely fantastic) although the breakfast was lovely and there was also a nice room with comfy sofas and a real fire to relax in. The hotel is a short drive from the main ferry, so handy if like us you're only visiting for a weekend.
All the staff were really helpful and when we checked out were given a wee Skye soap and postcards of Toravaig which was a lovely touch.
Would definitely recommend. The hotel is set in lovely grounds with stunning views. Next time I'd try and get a room with a view though.
One last point my boyfriend found the lack of soundproofing a problem (although didn't notice too much myself) - when the room above (?) had their shower on the extractor fan was quite loud in our room. Also Eriskay is right by the stairs on the first floor so you hear everyone go by. Again though I didn't find this any worse than a lot of other hotels have stayed in and wouldn't let this put you off although if you can would get a room with a view and away from the stairs
