Description: This small inauspicious fish restaurant is fast gaining nationwide recognition as one of the best and most exciting places to eat in Scotland. With a superb location & stunning sea views on the upper floor of the Calmac building on Tobermory pier, and their own fishing boat landing fresh local shellfish - its an experience not to be missed. Just turn up unannounced for lunch, but book in advance for dinner. Lots on offer for non fish eaters too.

We dined there twice in May 2018 and both times the food was exemplary. Extensive menu and great daily specials - the scallops were in season and were sublime. If you want to go make a booking - extremely popular and reasonably priced.

Harbour side restaurant serving fresh fish and shellfish landed earlier that day. Choice of indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly and attentive service. We had seafood tapas as a starter and langoustines and halibut as a main, all were nicely presented and delicious. Several wines are available by the glass and local bottled beers and whisky. Good value.

Think we may have just expected the wrong thing based on previous reviews and the prestige this restaurant is held in. Not so much as a fine dining experience as a greasy spoon that does fresh fish. Resulted in being massively confused by the hype.
The champagne to go with the oysters was overpriced for the quality.

The food is good, but the staff is rude and does a poor job of serving the food. Some attractive views if you get near a window.

Lovely spot over looking the harbour. We were popping in for a lunch hour but Unfortunately took the staff 20mins to take our order, even having been up to the bar to ask if I could order at the bar to be quicker. We had an hour for lunch only but having not been able to order until 20mins in we were told we would only have time for a cold starter that they would rush though the kitchen for us. Crab claws - which were lovely but just disappointed that within our hour there we were only just able to eat something cold. The crab claws arrived 25mins after we had ordered them too. Lovely food but they should let you know if the food is going to be so long as soon as you walk in. Thanks.
