The apartment was spacious, clean, modern and well equipped. (My wife was jealous of the kitchen). The location was great, only a short walk from the Main Street where there were pubs, restaurants, shops etc. We visited the distillery and went on a wildlife tour (Enjoy Mull to give them a plug). We did some walking and our own tours of the island. What an interesting place, wildlife, scenery, great food and much more. Thanks Nikki.
Our second stay at Upper Thornliebank, which was just as nice as the first. The weather wasn't great, and it was cold and windy outside, but cosy and warm inside. There was a power cut on our first morning, and Nikki came round quickly and rang the electrician, and we found out it was an issue in Tobermory rather than the flat - but the hands on approach to know the issue would be resolved soon was appreciated.
It's been well maintained since our first visit, with new furniture, an upgrade to high-speed broadband and importantly for us, a proper cot rather than a travel cot like in many holiday lets.
Well proportioned flat with everything that you could need. Lovely views over Tobermory and a good base for touring around the area. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Overall an excellent stay.
Spacious flat 2 bedrooms, Kitchen, bathroom and lounge. Wifi
Good heating, very good shower. We don't watch much tv but by modern day standards the screen was on the small side and could have done with better instructions regarding connecting the Sky box.
Wifi tip. The flat has a wifi extender from the router that you will see in the downstairs entrance hall. The router is on top of some coat hooks. Make sure it is in the middle of the hooks, because when it is on the far left, the signal is reduced and the upstairs extender will drop the wifi from time to time. The wifi password is on the chalkboard in the entrance hall too.
Accommodation was larger than expected, clean and tidy, and everything we needed was provided. Can highly recommend the apartment. Anyone with mobility problems would need a car to reach the accommodation as it is up a steep hill from the town and we were up a flight of stairs in Upper Thornlibank, but Middle Thornlibank is at ground level and also has great views.
