...a mixed bag, one was outstanding and the other wasn't unfortunately. The evening meals however were excellent and I'd definitely eat there again if going back to Mull. We had a Squid Tempura and Venison Ragu which were excellent and also a scallop and black pudding dish that was really top notch...

Although we didn't stay there; we did eat there a couple of times. The staff were attentive, the food was delicious and I would recommend without hesitation.

We called in at the Inn after along day to Iona. There was a good choice of draft beers including one from the village. Despite being late in the day they fitted us in. The service was friendly and very good, the food was excellent. Lots of local people in the bar and it had a nice friendly feel. New owners finding their way but well worth supporting them. I would also add that Dervaig is a lovely village with good walking and wildlife.

As there were only two restaurants around our b&b we booked both, one for each evenings. The Bellachroy is an old inn, the eating room is a bit dark but we were happily surprised about the food (scallops and smoked trout). Definitely worth trying !

Bit beyond lunch time, but needing a bite, stopped in here and were met with great hospitality and a real "can do" attitude. Just had sandwiches and a drink, so can't really assess what meals would be like. GF bread available, even though not on menu (might encourage customers to mention it) and 0% alcohol beer which is great since driving is the main way to get around the island. Nice ambience. Good luck to the new management.
