I cannot convey too strongly how impressed my wife and I were with this wonderful guest house. We spent five glorious days there and wished it had been longer.
The owners, Howard and Cordelia, are superb hosts and Howard went out of his way to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible.
This is an old hunting lodge tastefully converted to a guest house and we stayed in the large bedroom in the original house. The bed was most comfortable, the en-suite facilities fine and the view over the lovely garden was superb. We were also shown the other more modern bedrooms in the adjoining section and they looked superb. We also could not fail to be impressed by the wonderful comments from fellow guests in the guest book. One that sticks in my mind said "After more failures than you can believe it is fantastic to find such a terrific guest house". Says it all really.
Howards breakfast is a feast and taken in the very large conservatory with its great views over their garden. If you want to be "set up" with a full tummy through till evening Dinner then his breakfast's tick all the boxes. We live permanently in Spain and I must say how much we miss his fabulous full Scottish breakfasts!
The guest house is situated about 2 miles from the main road and the trip along the road to it is a sheer delight...we have never seen so many pheasants in our life! When leaving the guest house and going down to the main road the sea views can best be summed up as utterly stunning.
Would we stay here again? YOU BET WE WOULD and in fact our son stayed here for a week on our recommendation. People like Howard and Cordelia deserve to do well and I wish them all the very best with their wonderful guest house.
