Such a shame the new boy from Troon is not representing the Ayrshire brand. We had the delight on Friday night of being served by the new opening manager for “somewhere” in Edinburgh for this company. Which to be honest we didn’t realise was a big company that reached that far. But if anyone could represent the Ayrshire feel this guy could, think his name was Stephan? Sorry if we are wrong! When we are through in Edinburgh for the rugby we will be sure to visit but please do some ladies afternoon tea. Edinburgh is short on a venue for that market!

And on the Scotts in Troon please do not change the fork out less menu, it’s the best deal in Ayrshire! Maybe an afternoon tea for us older ladies? We will always be back regardless!

4 of us visited here twice - for pre dinner drinks and once for post breakfast coffee and cake

Great wine (maybe a tad pricey) and a terrific smoothie menu

Coffee and cake choices very good.

Nice table service - splendid views over the upmarket marina

Good food and drink deals at certain times of the day

For those in need - the accessible toilet facilities make a real difference

This place is great. That is known. Last night, asparagus was excellent. They were busy, pretty attentive. Never see many tourists here and I don’t know why. Another hidden gem, I guess. Anyway, chocolate cake was also very tasty and thankfully not overdone or a ridiculously large size. All good here.

We popped in as a group of 8 golfers on a Monday evening in May around 9.30. They were more than happy to accommodate our group and we weren't disappointed. The food, the presentation, the setting were simply fantastic.
There wasn't one complaint on anything from each of the 8 guys and each one of us will look forward to returning next year for the next golfing trip..

We had our wedding anniversary meal here...... Unfortunately our anniversary was on a Friday and it was very busy and noisy here. We were sat next to some very noisy golfers who were really loud.......so not quite the romantic meal my wife was hoping for. On the plus side we were given a Marina side table and watched view of the sunset over Troon, a view thankfully which managed to avoid the new carbunkle bio fuel plant...... Unlike the unfortunate restaurant up the road.

Our starters of Cullen skink and whitebait were unfortunately disappointing, my Cullen skink was tepid, to be generous, I did not send it back to be microwaved though as I didn't want it hanging around any further. My wife's whitebait was a bit soggy too.

Our main dishes were superfood salad and a trio of fish, which were both nicely prepared and cooked, by the time we were on mains the restaurant had emptied out a bit so it was a bit quieter and more relaxed.

We might try again when things are not so busy, but on tonight's showing we are not rushing back. Although the restaurant is raised there is a good lift for people with mobility issues and the car park is close by.
