A quaint old fashioned hotel. Between us found some interesting additions to the rooms, bells, cassette players etc. Beverages and biscuits in room. Hair dryer and water. Can open windows. Large rooms. Excellent meal in restaurant. Pre ordered. Friendly accommodating staff. Breakfast to order. Would return. Not much on offer in Tain after 5.30. A walk to the beach does not offer too much, but something to do. Distillery up the road if you get there before 4. Shuts at 5.

We had a lovely meal for a party of 13 including 4 children under 5 and the staff coped admirably. The table had been set thoughtfully in an area of the conservatory which allowed space for the children to play without disturbing other diners. The menu was extensive and the food was great with generous portion sizes.

Following a family funeral service a large number of family and friends gathered at Morangie House Hotel. The reception was friendly and efficient. Staff coped admirably with the large numbers and the soup and sandwiches fare was excellent. Altogether a pleasant environment to relax and socialise in after a sad event. Well done Morangie House!

We recently stayed at the Morangie Hotel with friends for a couple of nights. Our friends were upgraded to a better room which was lovely, however we weren't but our room was £10 dearer.... a bit unfair I would say... when I questioned the receptionist about it... she didn't see my point... not good marketing ... we probably won't be back for that reason.
The food for breakfast and dinner was good with good choice of dishes. The staff as a whole was pleasant and somehow efficient. Our dog friendly room was clean & spacious.

Someone else remarked on the attitude of bar staff on 22/6/17. I agree that she was very offhand.

The welcome was very warm, and the room well appointed apart from the bizarre "non-slip" paper bathmat, and the fact that the shower was no more than a trickle.

Disappointing that there was no beer from Scottish breweries in bottle. The food was acceptable apart from my wife's fish pie, which ended up being a deconstructed pie. when my wife commented on this, she was told that how it was supposed to be served, although there was no mention of this on the menu.

Would we stay there again? Probably not
