We had a lovely meal for a party of 13 including 4 children under 5 and the staff coped admirably. The table had been set thoughtfully in an area of the conservatory which allowed space for the children to play without disturbing other diners. The menu was extensive and the food was great with generous portion sizes.

Following a family funeral service a large number of family and friends gathered at Morangie House Hotel. The reception was friendly and efficient. Staff coped admirably with the large numbers and the soup and sandwiches fare was excellent. Altogether a pleasant environment to relax and socialise in after a sad event. Well done Morangie House!

We recently stayed at the Morangie Hotel with friends for a couple of nights. Our friends were upgraded to a better room which was lovely, however we weren't but our room was £10 dearer.... a bit unfair I would say... when I questioned the receptionist about it... she didn't see my point... not good marketing ... we probably won't be back for that reason.
The food for breakfast and dinner was good with good choice of dishes. The staff as a whole was pleasant and somehow efficient. Our dog friendly room was clean & spacious.

Someone else remarked on the attitude of bar staff on 22/6/17. I agree that she was very offhand.

The welcome was very warm, and the room well appointed apart from the bizarre "non-slip" paper bathmat, and the fact that the shower was no more than a trickle.

Disappointing that there was no beer from Scottish breweries in bottle. The food was acceptable apart from my wife's fish pie, which ended up being a deconstructed pie. when my wife commented on this, she was told that how it was supposed to be served, although there was no mention of this on the menu.

Would we stay there again? Probably not

We travelled as a group of 4 and stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. The room(room 1) we were allocated was probably the best in the property with loads of space and a good view of the Dornoch Firth. The only criticism would be the bathroom, the shower didn't have enough pressure and was located in the bath. Perhaps removing the bath and putting a better walk in shower would suit this hotel's clientele a bit more. We had breakfast included in our stay and also had dinner in the restaurant, the food was very good, the service quick and with a smile. All in all an enjoyable stay. I strongly recommend requesting either room 1, 2 or 3 at these have the best views.
