This superb restaurant is always worth a visit when you are running up the Fife coastline the coffees ,cakes and pastries are superb plus the usual Paninis and baguettes ....keep your eye on the specials board it changes daily. There are 2 large dining areas spacious and well lit ,spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and polite ,tables are cleared as soon as customers leave. There is a queue to be seated at peak times but you will find you are not waiting more than 5mins There is a well stocked shop and butchers as well as a florist. They work a hard 6 days a week and have Sunday off with a shop this busy they do not need to be open 7 days a week

My friend and I went here for lunch.
Restaurant is clean. We shared a sandwich and had a scone each. Very good. Freshly pre-pared sandwich and the scones was fresh.
Good warm cup of tea and we then had a coffee aswell.
Staff is friendly and service is excellent.
Will definitely go back to the restaurant.
Not too keen on the shop or the butchers as BOTH are overpriced.

Stopped here on my own for a quick lunch. I had a tuna baked potato. The baked potato itself wasn't much to write home about - could've done with being cooked for longer and the sweetcorn was just thrown on the top - better if it had been mixed through the tuna. Had a cake too which was lovely. The adjoined shop is worth a look too. Nonetheless, the service was quick and friendly and inexpensive too. Worth a trip here.

Have been here many many times and never been disappointed The restaurant is always busy which speaks for itself Why. Because the service is excellent, the food, choice is
amazing Whether you want a snack a light lunch or a main meal it's all on offer.
The portions are good and the prices are very reasonable

I wrote a poor review for Blacketyside a year or so ago, due to frustration at poor service. I visited this morning for breakfast with friends and had a lovely freshly prepared breakfast, in a relaxed atmosphere, with very attentive staff. Credit where credit is due, Blacketyside was back to the standard that I knew and loved. We will definitely return on a regular basis if this great standard is maintained.
