Have been coming here for several years - unfortunately twice since the change in management the service has been poor. Today we waited for around 20 mins for a menu a further 25 minutes for first course and a further 20 mins for tea. Didn't seem to be anybody 'in charge'. Disappointed - will have to look for alternative.

Can find everything you need in the garden centre, lots to choose from and plenty to get stocked up with supplies for the wild birds. Always pop in to the cafe for a bacon roll and coffee to take away with me. Staff are great.

Me and my father went to this restaurant for a breakfast and still came out hungry. I ordered a stack of pancakes (it said on the menu) and he wanted a well cooked fried egg roll. Well when we got them it certainly wasn't a stack pancakes. It was three tiny pancakes on a huge plate and the well done fried egg roll was runny and messy. He took a few bites of the roll and since it wasn't cooked to his liking couldn't eat the rest. This is the second time we've had gross food at this restaurant and there won't be a third. Plus the decor is badly needing to be changed and the tables and chairs are one up from tacky garden furniture.

I am afraid I do not see any improvement since Tranquillity departed . The service is very slow and the whole place needs a makeover . There are signs up that there will be major refurbishment at the end of the summer . but the management will have to up there game to attract people in . We dropped in for a cappuccino and fruit scones .The scones were just out of the oven and tasted great but the cappuccino's were dire . The worst thing you can do is serve them in small glass cups with a millimeter of froth on the top .I can get a decent coffee anywhere in decent sized cups all it takes is the staff to get some proper training on their coffee machine

Dropped into the garden centre for some compost and noticed that the restaurant has had a make over and it's now under new management. Although it was very busy we managed to find an unreserved table (this was a Sunday afternoon) and ordered our food and lattes. The servers were polite, prompt, well presented and cleaned away our dirty dishes and cups immediately after we pushed them aside after eating. Although the place was busy the food tasted really good came out quickly to our table and we weren't rushed out the door after we had finished. We didn't order cakes but they did look delish. Well done staff we will be back.
