Dropped into the garden centre for some compost and noticed that the restaurant has had a make over and it's now under new management. Although it was very busy we managed to find an unreserved table (this was a Sunday afternoon) and ordered our food and lattes. The servers were polite, prompt, well presented and cleaned away our dirty dishes and cups immediately after we pushed them aside after eating. Although the place was busy the food tasted really good came out quickly to our table and we weren't rushed out the door after we had finished. We didn't order cakes but they did look delish. Well done staff we will be back.

I have been coming here for years on my way to Kirkcaldy's Reject's store. Even when it was a little square purple room the food here was always and is the best you can experience in your lifetime. Over the years it has now grown and at the weekend it is what we scotch people would say 'hotching'....really busy. There's a varied menu for veggies and an abundance of choices from meals to sandwiches, baquettes, and to die for cakes. My friend and I always try out new menus here but do you know what we always resort to what we like .It's laughable we have one trip the normal favourite then the next trip a choice of something different. That way we explore other foods and still have our favourites....Me I love the hamburgers whether normal or chilli and my friend always has the warm chicken caesar salad........The cafe itself is busy, clean and inviting and the service from the waitresses is out of this world so friendly and helpful and chatty. They will change items from your menu if you have allergies or just dislike a certain product which is wonderful so you know you are going to enjoy your meal. The cakes are to die for and it's not the first time we have taken our half of our meringue home in a box....you would think by now we would only buy one and share...well no they are too good to share even with your best friend. Anyhow we can have them later and watch our husbands drool....lol...

So if you ever find yourself in Freuchie and see the garden centre sign don't pass go in you will taste the most delighful food of your life. It might not have the look of a Gleneagles Restaurant but you will have the quality and of course the charm of the
Fifer's......

Despite being busy at lunch time in the middle of June the service was almost immediate once we had secured a table.
Good menu with great sized portions.
Try the home baking, it's brilliant.
Enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.

Arrived too late to do both so decided to purchase plants and then take some cake home. Plants excellent, staff knowledge amazing. then to the cafe to purchase three slices of cake 1×lemon drizzle, 1x Victoria doing a nd 1x chocolate cake = £10.30 - for 3 slices not 3 cakes - put a wee damper on our trip
