We had visited the Xcrafts out in Aberlady Bay and had worked up a good appetite so we popped into this charming little pub for a meal and a pint. The place was warm and friendly and the service was great. The food was very good and I would recommend it to all.

Hubby & myself were at Aberlady for the weekend, on our 1st night we ate somewhere else but thankfully we ate here on the 2nd night.
As a vegetarian, I sometimes find choices very limited and I seriously get fed up seeing macaroni on a menu as a choice for us vegetarians, but here, yum yum, I was spoilt for choice. Absolutely fantastic. Presentation was beautiful, everything freshly cooked to order.
I had garlic mushrooms with spinach as a starter & wild mushrooms, pasta & asparagus with fig, & pear & basaltic vinegar .
Hubby had prawn , scallops & garlic sauce , then a large chicken burger with fries etc.
Prices were really , really good & food was delicious.
We will definitely be back here.
You have the choice of bar ( which is great if you have a dog with you as we did) or restaurant or a stunning conservative & beer garden .
Brilliant

After finding out that the hotel we were staying in had virtually no food to offer we went in to the Old Aberlady Inn. Great welcome from the friendly barman Calum who gave us great service during the evening. Good honest Pub Grub well cooked and at very reasonable prices. Drinks again very reasonable give it a try!

We stayed just the one night thankfully. A very tired sorry place. Bat seems better. But the accommodation hallway and rooms poor! The room was not good. Bad decor and the toilet needed scrubbing. See pic. Bed mattress was awful and cheap. Bad back today.
We had breakfast! Not good.
My tip would be if wanting to stay in this area. Is to stay at my favourite the lodge at craigielaw! Sadly they were full! No wonder as it’s amazing!
We will never return to the old aberlady inn!
