“Not cheap but beautiful location.”
Reviewed 5 June 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Great spot and nice cottage. Although expensive, it was an amazing location in an 18th c cottage in a beautiful village. One gripe only was that there was one shower ( en suite in one room) and one fully equipped bathroom with a shower attached to taps. This was for 7 of us and woefully inadequate, All else was superb.

Six of us stayed at Millstream cottage at the end of September. The cottage is in a lovely quiet location and it was a great base for the week. We comfortably parked 3 cars on the drive and by the end of the week we had perfected the manoeuvre to get on and off the drive!

Technically the cottage can sleep 8 people with its 4 bedrooms. The master bedroom was lovely and most of us preferred its en suite to the main bathroom mainly because of the power shower. The room above the garage some how felt a little unloved and a bit temporary. Perhaps this could be overcome by the addition of a shower or wet room below it in the garage space or maybe the property should be viewed as a 5/6 person property instead.

The heart of the cottage was definitely the kitchen. Apart from the omission of an oven glove the kitchen was well equipped. We cooked several meals from scratch and there were more than enough pots and pans. The oven was easy to use. The only problem we had was the first time we used it and it began to smoke but this was due split food in the bottom rather than a fault with the oven!

I think the cottage had been vacant the week before we arrived. It was a bit dustier than I would have expected but I can only assume that it had been cleaned some days before our arrival. That said we felt that the cottage would massively benefit from a deeper more thorough clean.

If you're looking for a quiet break with a variety of walks on your doorstep then this could be the ideal place for you.

Beautiful cottage, lovely area highly recommended. Springhead pub excellent choice for food and directly opposite cottage. Very relaxing holiday within easy reach of weymouth and many beaches nearby. Cottage extremely well equipped, cosy and warm. Lovely garden ideal for dog and fully enclosed.
