We stayed for 2 nights at Watersmeet Hotel, and enjoyed ourselves very much. A friend recommended the hotel last year, and whilst staying on Exmoor we went to have a look and have a sandwich and beer on the terrace. we were impressed and agreed to stay there the next time. The hotels location is excellent looking over Woolacombe bay / beach with excellen facilitires. we were so lucky with the weather and swam both days in the heated outdoor pool (there is an indoor one as well) So nice was out stay we didn'y venture outside the hotel, just layed by the pool both days and enjoyed a sandwich on the terrace looking over the bay. Dinner is another experience. The dining room looks right over th beach and sea. A wonderful setting. We are not great lovers of nouveau cuisine with small, very rich courses, nice but not our first choice. Staying half board, we asked to eat in the Bistro the second night which again was lovely and served traditional hearty food. The staff, mostly eastern Europeans were very obliging and looked after us very well. Our room was again lovely, a big high ceiling room with a bay window looking over the bay. Would we stay again? Deffinatly. Its a bit pricey, but you only get what you pay for, and we felt it was well worth it

Room tip: Deluxe seaview. Dinner is £50pp. Next time we will go B&B to give us a choice of where to eat

This was a complete stab in the dark for us - never been to Woolacombe, never been to the Watersmeet, but what a great choice! Stayed for one night, the receptionist that greeted us was lovely, all staff we met were great. Hotel was beautiful, room was lovely, we didn't even have a sea view (room 17) yet it was still fab. We used the indoor pool, steam room and jacuzzi which were again lovely. My only suggestion would be for there to be some back ground music at breakfast, it felt a bit awkwardly quiet and I felt I had to whisper! Had a great time and will be back.

We have just had 3 nights at the Watersmeet Hotel and it's refreshing to find a top quality hotel at the English seaside. We were celebrating a special occasion and wanted something with a touch of class and we found it.

We recently stayed 3 nights at the Watersmeet Hotel to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary.

We have holidayed at the Watersmeet since 2011 and have enjoyed watching it evolve over the years with the refurbishment of the reception and bar area, the addition of the new terrace and this year the arrival of the fabulous new Lundy Suite.

While many UK hotels are stuck in a time warp the Watersmeet is innovative and forward thinking which has resulted in a modern airy hotel with a relaxing atmosphere topped off with wonderful views.

As always the team were very warm and welcoming. The fine dining in the Pavilion restaurant excelled itself and we were really impressed with the new selection of wine.

If we could holiday anywhere in the world the Watersmeet would always be our number one choice.

Room tip: Choose a room with a balcony or terrace
