“Lovely cottage, tucked away in the countryside”
Reviewed 1 June 2012 for a stay in April 2012

We spent a week at Kingfisher cottage and had a lovely time. The cottage is in a beautiful setting and is lovely. It is well kitted out and I would thoroughly recommend it.

“A beautiful cottage inside and out, ideal for families.”
Reviewed 28 May 2012 for a stay in May 2012

Kingfisher Cottage is tucked away in a beautiful location. It is equipped with everything you could wish for, ideal for families with young children, and with very high quality furnishings. We loved exploring this area of Devon, but as the weather was a bit unpredictable we also enjoyed relaxing at the cottage; there are plenty of DVDs and jigsaws etc and the wifi was a real bonus. We loved the area and cottage so much that we ate already planning our return visit next year!

“Beautiful out of the way cottage, immaculately equipped and finished.”

We booked this cottage very last minute, on the day we wanted to arrive and James (owner) could not have been more helpful. The cottage is down country lanes deep in the Devon countryside in a beautiful setting. Inside the cottage is immaculately furnished, decorated and extremely well equipped. It is very spacious even for 6 people. It was an added bonus that they are happy to take dogs and our cocker spaniel immediately took to the place. There is lots to do and see nearby and some beautiful places to visit and walk. All in all a perfect relaxing retreat!

“Quiet, perfect and relaxing”
Reviewed 23 February 2012 for a stay in February 2012

This lovley house in south devon is perfect for exploring the south west. Close to salcome and all the lovley beaches, great walks and great pubs. Have now been to Kingfisher cottage three times and still can't fault it. Hope to be back next year.

“Lovely accommodation in tranquil surroundings”
Reviewed 7 October 2011 for a stay in September 2011

We stayed with at Kingfisher Cottage with our 7 month old twins, and had a thoroughly relaxing (well, almost relaxing!) break, away from the routines of home. The property is well equipped to cope with the 'small humans' meaning that we didn't need to hire a truck to transport all of the necessary baby equipment with us.

Day trips to Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Blackpool Sands are all well worth considering.

Home-made apple and blackberry crumble was on the menu at Kingfisher Cottage, with an abundance of blackberries in the hedgerows around the property (seasonal, of course).

The weather wasn't great during our stay, but that didn't dampen our spirits. There are plenty of good DVD's & games to keep you entertained in the evenings, once the kiddies are tucked up in bed. The wi-fi was a blessing for contacting the outside world if you needed to - The mobile phone signal was zero (which we saw as a benefit!).

Top tip: Sat nav is almost essential for navigating to and from the cottage.

Liked best: The ducks on the pond who spotted us 'tourists' immediately!
Liked least: The TV reception was poor (but plenty of DVD's)
