Tucked away down Duke Street, at the bottom end of Fore Street (no climbing up the hill!) is this brilliant Deli/Restaurant. In the front part is a wonderful selection of local Cheeses, Pies, Cold Meats, and the usual yummy stuff like olives, pates, and some naughty treats from further afield in the biscuit, sweet department. There's also a takeaway salad bar, which if you need a healthy snack is just brilliant. Towards the rear are a number of tables, and the comfy old leather sofa, which is the one we always hope is free! We go here regularly as a family of 3. The menu is not huge, but it doesn't need to be - its all very very tasty, and the bacon sandwiches are world class, so too the scambled eggs. There are activities (colouring/Top trumps) for the little ones, and the coffee is superb. Add to this free wifi, and its one of our favourite places to spend some family time at the weekends. Finally the staff are all really lovely, polite, child friendly (!) and smiley!
