We stayed for one night at the beginning of our vacation and we just loved it. The staff was very friendly and we always where taken care of. The breakfast portions are huge and we could not finish them, but food was delicious.

We joined a party to celebrate a birthday so were there for one night. The staff were excellent and so was the food. The staff could not have done more. They were thoughtful but not intrusive. They were extremely tolerant of children and was fun to see a chest of drawers labelled "dog blankets" with dog bowls underneath! The gardens looked charming with seating and plenty of parking. The hotel itself looks lovely from the outside but is a little tired on the inside. Really needs a facelift but not awful. Could do with new soap holders in the bathroom as present ones a bit rusty and light above washbasin didn't work for example, but nothing to spoil our stay. It was a long hike to our room so got to it by going outside but did find the steps rather slippery as wet. If at all disabled ask about access when you phone. I didn't see a lift but there may well be one or they may have ground floor rooms, worth checking. Would happily stay there again, with or without children and dogs (we had neither)! Perfect hotel for Dartmoor and Teign valley etc. Thank you for looking after us so well. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Room tip: Can't really say. We had a reduced rate as a large party.

Fantastic hotel with incredible food. The cream tea was amazing as well as the full English breakfast. The hotel rooms are spacious & clean. Overall this is a great place with friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.

What a lovely, welcoming place to stay. I've stayed here before, but this time was even better. We have two dogs and were allocated a special dog friendly room. If you're a dog lover you'll appreciate the fact that they supply dog towels and blankets, bowls and feeding mats, as well as dog treats and tennis balls! Dogs are also allowed in most of the hotel, including the bar and eating areas. Food is excellent and the location beautiful

We recently had a four day stay at Edgemoor and the entire visit was a delight. Extremely friendly and helpful staff in a relaxed but efficient manner. The rooms are spacious, clean and delightfully decorated. Our room had a small patio and garden to sit in. The dining room staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble and the menu was superb, well balanced and varied, it was difficult to decide what to have.
A little gem to experience if you want to be near to the beautiful Dartmoor.

Room tip: A room overlooking the front garden would be nice but the Woodland rooms have a lovley garden to sit in
