We visited here twice in the week we stayed in Brixham. We had in fact stumbled across this place earlier in the week but mistook it for a little cafe. Downstairs is more casual but upstairs is a restaurant with fantastic views across the bay wherever you're sat. We saw a seal playing close by. We're a family with a coeliac, fussy 8 year old and a hearty appetite teenager and hubby but were all satisfied. Great selection for all. Would however agree with Canadiangardener regards the tools for the crab being inadequate and ending up with pieces in our drinks! Would recommend the fish and chips, seafood salad, Apple pie and eton mess sundae. Enjoy!

Had dinner here on Thursday then returned for breakfast on Friday morning! The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. There was 7 of us on Thursday night for dinner and we were accomodated with welcome arms.
The food was amazing, well cooked, well presented and lovely to the taste. The views from upstairs mainly are beautiful, downstairs are also nice but naturally restricted. Overall we cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and i would say that if you have been to Brixham and not been to the Breakwater then you have missed out massively. See you again ina couple of months guys

We had a lovely long table with a beautiful view of the bay at sunset. Food great, fresh and good choice. Fresh fish but also steaks. Waiting staff couldn't have been more helpful, especially Anna who made our meal really special. We came twice in one week it was so lovely. Also very good for gluten free and accommodating for special diets.

This restaurant is located about 5 mins walk from where we stayed in Brixham, very convenient with wonderful views over the harbour.
We sat on the outside balcony, the food was very good.
I had their crab dinner, and have a suggestion please find a way to crack open the crab parts before delivering it to the customer, or provide different tools, what i had was not suitable for the hardness of the shell. I ended up wearing my dinner from trying to get into the crab, and yes i have eaten crab many times.
You also need to let your customers know that they have to go inside to pay, that a bill will not be delivered to the table, there is a small sign somewhere inside apparently, we did not see it.
There seemed to be some confusion amongst the staff about who was responsible for our table, we had 3 different people come to take our order, and follow up about dessert.
Overall we were happy, you need to tweak some of the details
