“Best location for Jersey visits”
Reviewed 22 February 2012

It is right by the Condor ferry port and ideal for visiting Jersey if going with your car, good free parking and it is a very modern 5* hotel with large rooms and excellent facilities, only surprisingly no baked beans served there for breakfast, apparently a Radison group policy!!!
Apart from that we would recommend it as a good touring base. Rooms have great sea views.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room and free parking facility.

Hi, thanks for your review. At the moment we are a 4* hotel but it’s great we felt like 5* :)
We’re sorry that baked beans weren’t available during your stay, we did take them off for a short while last summer but they are back due to popular demand! We do hope that you can stay with us again to enjoy a full traditional English breakfast!

Location, Location, Location. Yes it certainly has that, even in February with the sun shining on the waterfront the view was magnificent.
The staff were excellent, the room was the best that I have ever stayed in (yes I travel via certain well-advertised hotels in the UK, though they are also very good and value for money.)
Breakfast was again first class, choices for everyone and always fresh.
My only very small note would be please supply small teapots for breakfast! Sorry hot water out of a flask is not boiling water as that in a teapot.
I can live with it I know but I do drink a lot of tea in the morning.
I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Room Tip: We were in 342, 344 and 346, these face inland, very much an area of work in progress. the opposite...

Hi, thank you for your review. Thank you for your suggestion for tea pots, this is something we will discuss as other guests have offered similar feedback. We’re glad you had a great stay with us and hope that you can come back again, maybe in the summer, and enjoy the view from our terrace with a nice cocktail or two!

The Radisson in Jersey is in a perfect location next to the Marina in St. Helier and just a 5 minute walk from the town centre. You get what you would expect from a Radisson; clean and modern with a slight Scandinavian design; efficient rather than luxury. The main lobby contains a bar and a restaurant and a very large fish tank. With large windows the view towards the Marina is nice although the lobby lacks any character and reminded me of an airport lounge. There is also a rather small and odd gym and indoor pool; think 1970's local council run public swimming pool rather than Espaa or Willow Stream and you will not be disappointed.
The food quality in the restaurant was surprisingly good.
Not a bad choice but don't expect luxury.

Hi, thank you for your review! The design of the hotel is in keeping with the style of other Radisson Blu hotels world wide, hence the Scandinavian influence. We’re glad you enjoyed eating here and found your stay with us over all positive. We hope to welcome you back in the future if you chose to visit Jersey again.

Stop 2 night on business.

New hotel has comfatable rooms with all the extras you need. Beds are very soft- which I like. Free wi-fi through out the hotel is nice. Free Sky sports in your room is also nice.

The rooms either face out to sea or over look the town. Mine overlooked the town, next time I ask for a sea view.

The location at the end of the haubour is good, with a short walk in the town. I would assume in the summer is a very nice place to be with its views over the boats, castle and out to sea, plus the beach near by. Unfourtuatly in January we could not enjoy this aspect of the hotel.

Had a drink in the bar which was nice and there was plently of food on offer a breakfast time. With a cinerma next door plus some fast food chains its in a good spot if you are on your own and want to kill sometime.

Also nice and quiet at night, did not hear the plumbing etc, which you do in most hotels

Only real moan is that it would be nice to have a pot of tea with your breakfast as oppossed to having to pour hot water into a cup and dunk a tea bag

Overall good value, location and pratical for a business trip. However would also be good for a weekend away

Room Tip: Ask for Seas view

Hi, thank you for your review. We are very lucky to overlook the picturesque St Aubin’s Bay and Elizabeth Castle and hope you might be able to come back to the island during the summer to make the most of what Jersey has to offer and also enjoy a cool drink on our terrace!

This has all the appearances of a business hotel with no soul.
If you do not have a veiw over the waterfront ,you have a pretty bleak outlook.
We had a room with waterfront outlook which was very pleasant.
Some days the room was cleaned well and others not--depending on which chambermaid you had.
Staff showed willing but not always efficient on concierge.
We stayed over Xmas and position of hotel was ideal for shops etc.

Room Tip: make sure you have a waterfront room

Hi, thank you for your review. We’re glad you enjoyed the sea views. Thank you for bringing to our attention the inconsistencies in the cleaning of your room, we do aim to ensure our guests receive a high level of service and will look into who was looking after you over those days and see where improvements may be made. Hope to welcome you to the island again soon.
