Description: We set out to provide a varied menu with excellent quality meat and a great selection of fresh, local fish. It is reasonably priced and cooked to order, and accompanied by competitively priced wines and all served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We are currently open from Wednesday to Saturday for dinner only from 6:00 pm. Booking is highly advised and essential on a Saturday. We will open at lunchtime for pre-booked private parties (20+) and celebrations and will bespoke a Menu on request.

Popped by on spec on Friday night - managed to squeeze us in about half eight. There was a bit of a delay but they were super busy. Had crab linguine which was divine! Partner had Pedro special of beef slices and mushroom risotto which was also fab. No room for pud but would definitely return. Facilities were nice and clean and quite an intimate setting.

Food was good but the ambience was not good. Staff were rather arrogant and not very helpful. During our stay in Jersey this was our worst experience; there are many options available which are much better, e.g. Bracewells.

We booked for our last night, having been politely turned away earlier in the week when we arrived on spec.

The food was excellent and on a par with anywhere we ate on the island. We had butternut squash pancakes which were really tasty

However the place fell short of the old court house on service. There wasn’t a problem with it (hence the five) however there wasn’t the warmth, no welcome bread and we had the table right by the back and could overhear the staff talking

Third time here and yet again we had a lovely meal with a choice of top wines. The restaurant is quite small but tables are well spaced and here is a good atmosphere. The chees soufflé placed in a fresh tasty cheese sauce was divine and the steaks were just as ordered. This is a must for locals and visitors. Highly recommended, we will be back soon.
