I have just returned from a stay at Hunters, my favourite place. Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful, excellent food and glorious gardens. So peaceful sitting there and listening to the birdsong and the sound of the river. I can really recommend Hunters, I love staying there.

A wonderful Afternoon Tea birthday party in the gorgeous Hunters Hotel gardens. Beautiful, and tasty, sandwiches and dainty home-made cakes. The staff were charming, welcoming and attentive. Will definitely be back again. Highly recommended.

Lovely night away in Hunters as always. The staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. The old house is lovely and the gardens are beautiful and so peaceful. Lovely food from local produce. Really good value too. We stayed for just one night Dinner B&b. Will be back soon

This old charming hotel which has been in the same family for over 200 years is great. You won’t find high tech equipment, gyms, pools or even doors that fit their frames perfectly but you will stay in a coach house with excellent food, very friendly staff, open fires and antique furniture.

The clientele is on the older side (no kids club thankfully) so I would avoid it with children.

With many people seeking “experience holidays”, this is definitely an apportioning to immerse yourself in the past and imagine yourself as a character in a Miss Marple novel as you sit around in big armchairs drinking coffee or tea

An excellent wine list (with many by the glass) means that you don’t have to restrict yourself to tea.

The only point lost is the bed wasn’t the most comfortable (maybe another sign of authenticity?) but overall couldn’t fault Hunters.

Hunters Hotel is a chaming old world hotel full of character. Furniture, pictures everything is old and would probably tell a take or two. Hot water bottle in the bed and firesides create a very welcoming athmoshpere. Cuisine is homily with a touch of fine dinning. The gardens surrounding the hotel are also a joy and supply the kitchen. This is my third visit and won't be my last.
