A perfect place to stay.
The house had everything you could wish for and more besides. It was lovely to come home at the end of a busy day sightseeing to such a comfortable and spacious house located in such a quiet neighbourhood.
The owner could not have been more helpful with lots of advice and recommendations. Just wish we could have stayed longer to visit all the places recommended to us.
Greystones, the nearest town, was a little further than we at first realised and cost €15-€17 each way in a taxi but parking was free if you decided to have a tee-total dinner. Lots of lovely restaurants to choose from. Greystones is also home to the DART station that takes you directly to Dublin in 45 minutes for €10.80 return.
All in all Home at Last is highly recommended and we hope to return to Ireland in the near future to explore all the places we missed.
House is very clean and comfortable, with nice south facing back garden. All amenities that you'd have at home.
Sky TV and Wifi available plus access to a wireless printer for the tech savy.
Useful for researching places to go.
Went on outings to various places from here. Wicklow Gaol, Clara Lara fun park, Glendalough, Glenroe open farm, Pirates Cove Courstown (Wexford), Bray Bowling. Plenty more tings to do and places to see for future trips.
TripAdvisor limits ratings to five stars, but five stars do not do this home justice.
Home at Last is in perfect, clean condition. My family and I wanted for nothing staying here. The owner, Teague, could not be any more accommodating. This was our first trip to Europe from the United States, and he made us feel so welcome and safe.
Home at Last was very easy to find in our rental car driving south from Dublin airport. The lot is well maintained, and all modern day conveniences were available within. The beds are comfortable, and for the rainy days we spent indoors, plenty of channels were offered on the television. This house truly felt like a home, the environment is cozy. We felt comfortable cooking and lounging as we do at home. The neighborhood is family-oriented and quiet.
Would we stay in this property again? In a heartbeat. I recommend anyone reading this review to stop your search and book your stay here now.
We booked a weekend stay here for a friends wedding in nearby Newtownmountkennedy.
It turns out it's actually the owners home so the place was absolutely immaculate and well stocked.
The owner - Teague - also kindly helped us with groceries on arrival and a reliable taxi contact for getting us around.
We weren't in Eire long enough to comment on the surrounding areas, but for the cottage, we have no faults.
Thank you Teague!
Great feeling the moment we opened the door. Everything top class. Owner could not have been nicer or more helpful. Wanted to return but booked out.
