We were fortunate enough to spend a night here recently when travelling down the east coast of Ireland. The hotel was recommended and seemed to tick all the boxes so we booked and I'm so glad we did! We have stayed in many hotels and the Ashdown Park is definitely up there with the best. A really lovely place to stay and we had a day at the seaside in nearby Courtown. The hotel is really friendly with lovely helpful staff, fantastic rooms and great leisure facilities. The bedroom was amazing. We had a lovely family room which was really homely and comfortable. The pool was brilliant, but above all the most fantastic breakfast ever! Not only is the breakfast setting just beautiful but the breakfast itself was absolutely fab with a huge selection of hot and cold foods and also a pancake making machine which my 10 year old found very novel. We will definitely come back and next time we will stay longer.

Fantastic ... We cannot say enough good about this venue. Paul should be very proud of all his staff. Susan and Stephen are the best and easiest people to work with when planning your big day. Vals food is superb, like eating clouds. Thrilled to have had the best team behind us to make our day so special.

Room tip: We were in the Bridal suite. Fantastic xx

While this hotel was plenty comfortable and the food was lovely it lost some points due to the lack of sleep I got during my stay. The function rooms were located right beside my bedroom and music blared well into the night. This seems a very strange way to layout a hotel !
