Helen and Michael made me feel part of the family in this beautiful old house in Helen's family since the 30s.
My room was huge as was the bathroom with a huge bath and separate shower stall.
The gardens are amazing and the trees are really special.
It would make an amazing background for a bespoke wedding.
I ate in the garden one evening and bought good in Dooks nearby .
Breakfast was beautiful and different each day served with a view of the garden.
They also rent the whole house to groups.
Strongly recommended for a relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful stay in Clonacody House last night. The house is lovely with magnificent views of the mountains. We had spent the day touring around Co Tipperary and were met with a nice bottle of wine to relax when we arrived. We had a lovely room with ensuite bathroom - you could look at a wonderful sycamore tree as you bathed in the clawfoot bath. Our host, Helen, had kindly driven six miles to get food for us ( we had a wonderful Indian takeaway) which meant that we had been able to enjoy the wine without worrying about driving. There are great restaurants in the area but they are just coming out of Covid-19 restrictions but Helen will inform you.
She suggested that we visit the local museum in Fethard which was a great idea as it is a gem much of it being devoted to horse racing. The village itself is also very interesting with its almost intact walls around the town. We had a fab lunch in Dooks restaurant in Fethard and then went out to Slievnamon to visit a beautiful garden which Helen had arranged for us.
Helen is ably abetted by Maureen in running Clonacody House and the pair of them made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent with fresh berries and the full Irish and lovely breads. I highly recommend staying in Clonacody House.

Spent last weekend with my sister's at Helen's home.
I don't normally do B&B's but I'm starting to change my mind!!
I didn't book it, so had no idea what to expect. What a warm welcome, a beautiful home, and sumptuous bedrooms. The access to a kitchen was a huge bonus, as we came with supplies!!
Huge fires in every room, superb breakfast, all the comforts of home.

Helen is a fantastic host and is so welcoming. We loved the house, the bedroom was comfortable and clean, the toiletries were lovely and, we had a great breakfast. The house is big and there are lovely places to sit inside and out, it is perfect if you are visiting Coolmore Stud, the town is not too far away but you would need a car or use of the local taxi. We would recommend staying here and we will visit again...just to say hello to Helen!

A little out of the way but well worth the drive. Fantastic 300 year old Irish Manor. Our host Helen was amazing, sharing her intimate family estate. Breakfast was the best we had on our tour of Ireland.
