Description: A visit to the Northwest is not complete without stopping off at Award-Winning Langs Gastro Pub in Grange, County Sligo. This family run establishment began serving food 8 years ago. Since then, the combination of quality home cooked food & our friendly & welcoming atmosphere in relaxed surroundings continues to attract tourist & locals alike. Because of its popularity, the area was extended recently with extensive dining area, though newly built, blending seamlessly with the old. Langs Bar & Restaurant is in one of the most picturesque locations in Ireland with the majestic Benbulben mountain on one side & the rugged beauty of the Atlantic coast at Streedagh Beach on the other. It's only 15 miles from Sligo - the shopping capital of the Northwest & is also only 10 miles from the fun of Bundoran. It serves as a gateway to Donegal & Northern Ireland.

This is the place to eat if staying in the Sligo area. We've now been 3 times and the food and staff are still excellent. A pint of Guinness is €4.60 so a little higher than pub prices in Sligo. The steak sandwich at €15.20 is to die for, as is the homemade "Special Burger" at €13.20. Unfortunately they only open at 4.00pm Mon, Wed and Thurs and are closed on a Tuesday. At weekends however they open at 12.30pm. Situated in the row of terraced houses near the big church on the main road, it has a good car park at the back.

Ate here recently and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Had king prawns for the starter which were nicely done with a chilli & coriander sauce. Main course was a trio of fish in a fragrant sauce accompanied by vegetables and mash.

Very busy in evening which is a good sign. Really friendly and helpful waitress. Steak Sandwich was excellent. Cheese and Garlic potatoes lovely side. The only reason for not giving it a 5-star rating is that they use frozen chips and not fresh-cut. Highly recommended.
