Had a wonderful stay. We were in the lodge at the gate which is self-catering but went up to the main house for dinner one night. The lodge is comfortable and has everything you might need, what makes it exceptional is the welcome and care and attention to their guests that is given by the family. Dinner at the main house is well worth it. Fabulous food, cooked by Fred (the son of the house) and Johnnie (the father) was the perfect host. The grounds are lovely, do take the time to walk around and see the kitchen garden in the making and the various sheep and pig breeds. There's plenty to do around the area, Enniskillen being particularly good and Johnnie will recommend plenty of great walks. Couldn't have had a better time, highly recommended, nothing was too much trouble for this lovely family.

I had the most amzing stay here a few weeks ago. I have not slept like it since and have certainly not found peace or silence like it! I was touring with a theatre company backstage around the country and thought I would treat myself while near Clones as it was towards the end of a long tour. It was a bit of a drive from Virginia where I was working but that's not their fault and they did warn me when I booked. The house is absolutely incredible, every room decked out with beautiful old furniture and family heirlooms. I had a four poster bed looking out over the lake and one of the most beautiful views I have ever known and silence!! and at night darkness, except the stars. Thank you for making me feel totally at home and free to wonder around and spend lazy afternnoons drinking tea and reading and enjoying the ambience. It was great to meet you all and was more like staying with friends than a hotel. Albeit friends with a Very big home! I will defintitely be back. Thank you.

Hilton Park is exceptional. It offers guests the most authentic Big House experience available in Ireland, without being in any sense stuffy. Indeed Johnny and Lucy Madden could not be stuffy if they tried!

After a spiritually restoring walk through the park’s hills and woods, Johnny will appear to offer tea or, if the hour is appropriate, something stronger. He is gifted with internal radar in this department. After finishing a book in one of the drawing rooms overlooking the grounds, do not be surprised to find Johnny enter and willing, if you wish, to have a brief and easy conversation on whatever it is that interests you.

Lucy and her son Fred prepare the food at Hilton Park. Breakfasts – in the vaulted breakfast room - are exceptional combining the healthy, the wholesome and the exquisite. Lucy’s wonderfully moist drizzle cake in the afternoon is, I suspect, what the angels eat. By the time you sit for dinner in the Victorian dining room overlooking the perfectly still and beautiful lake, disturbed by only the occasional water fowl readjusting itself for the night, feelings of profound contentment have descended.

That other world- the one in which we graft and grub- has now faded, and before you, in one of Hilton’s massive beds, lies the most wonderful night’s sleep you’ve ever had. Restored and at peace with the world you then descend for another excellent breakfast. “Getting away from it all” hardly begins to describe the restorative peace and modest luxury of Hilton Park.

The Photo's don't offer the real experience of what Hilton Park has to offer the friendly Family But First Class Service & the over delivered ***** star 4 Course meals are a real must do & see in a 300 year old, Mansion With over 400 Ha of property to explore from the Wall Garden to magnificent Views & property Fishing lakes.... & 18 hole Golf course on the estate what else did i need to relax & unwind from the real world ... nothing but what Hilton Park could provide can't thank the Madden family enough for the fantastic weekend away from the working world that i Lived in ... the hardest part was leaving the Castle ... But the re-book made it a waiting reward to look forward to..... it's worth the wait ....

My wife and I enjoyed a stay at Hilton Park during a recent trip to Ireland. What a magnificent experience! Upon arrival, the Maddens made us feel like visiting house guests rather than customers. Upon our departure several days later, it was like leaving old friends. The accommodations were superb, the grounds beautiful, the food delicious, the service impeccable, and the conversation stimulating. A great place to stay for a quiet, relaxing getaway.
