What a picturesque place this is! Watching the milking process was fascinating! The breakfast was very good (portions were very big). Hostess was very nice. Very comfortable, if small, rooms. Highly recommend!!

Ballindrum Farm was a beautiful BnB. It is nestled on farmland with views for miles! Mary was a wonderful host and was extremely welcoming and sweet. Breakfast was delightful each morning and she was happy to cook whatever we desired from the menu she provided. I loved how she had fresh baked goodies each morning as well and this definitely added a homely touch to our stay.

The only two issues my husband and I had was that the bed was not very comfortable and we found that it was quite firm with little cushion. We were in Athy county for an obstacle race and a firm bed is not the most desirable choice for sleeping after something like this. A bed liner or cushion would have greatly helped. Also, the crows on the farm are unbearably loud! Both nights we stayed we had to sleep with our noise cancelling headphones on in an attempt to drown out the crows and get sleep. The walls were extremely thin as well, so you can hear everything that other guests are doing which is rough when people are up until 11pm and you are desperately trying to sleep.

Overall this was a good BnB. Our issues are not something the host would have a lot of control over. We most likely would not stay here again, but it was a good option for us and close to the race course we needed to get to for our Spartan.

There are just no words to describe how exceptional this trip was and it was mostly due to how well Mary took care of us! The B & B was so warm & welcoming and Mary & her beautiful family went above & beyond to care for all the guests. I can not recommend her enough! She was a fountain of information, helped point us in the right direction when we left for travel during the day and ensured that we started each day off with a wonderful breakfast. The entire experience was great. If you are looking for a place to stay while traveling in Athy, do not miss out on this experience. Thank you Mary!! We miss you terribly!

Mary greeted us with open arms! We felt right at home at the Ballindrum Farm with the Holstein cows. We live in dairy cow country in Maryland and it was great to stay at a farm B and B. The room was comfortable and the shower was fantastic! Breakfast was absolutely delicious! The homemade scones and jams were wonderful. We will be back soon!! Thank you Mary!

We stayed 3 nights at Marys lovely b and b. The fact it was a working dairy farm encouraged us to stay there and check life on the farm. Rooms were very comfortable, well appointed and breakfast magnificent. Mary was incredibly obliging and helpful with advise and suggestions on where to go and what to see. We throughly recommend Balindrun Farm.
