Ballindrum Farm was a beautiful BnB. It is nestled on farmland with views for miles! Mary was a wonderful host and was extremely welcoming and sweet. Breakfast was delightful each morning and she was happy to cook whatever we desired from the menu she provided. I loved how she had fresh baked goodies each morning as well and this definitely added a homely touch to our stay. The only two issues my husband and I had was that the bed was not very comfortable and we found that it was quite firm with little cushion. We were in Athy county for an obstacle race and a firm bed is not the most desirable choice for sleeping after something like this. A bed liner or cushion would have greatly helped. Also, the crows on the farm are unbearably loud! Both nights we stayed we had to sleep with our noise cancelling headphones on in an attempt to drown out the crows and get sleep. The walls were extremely thin as well, so you can hear everything that other guests are doing which is rough when people are up until 11pm and you are desperately trying to sleep. Overall this was a good BnB. Our issues are not something the host would have a lot of control over.
