We arrived at Ballindrum Farm after a long ride and sightsee from Tralee. Even though I had informed Mary (the proprietress) that we would be late, we were even later than we expected. Mary's husband Vincent greeted us upon arrival, and after Mary returned from an errand, she prepared coffee and fresh scones for my family even though it was well after ten at night! After discussing our plans for the next day, Mary was able to give us more options for using the train into Dublin so we could spend more time there. The rooms are nice, with the only obvious issue being no alarm clocks in the rooms. We used our iPods instead, and I still woke up on time. Bathrooms were very clean, and after getting used to using the showers, we were good to go. The next morning, Mary was ready for us with hot breakfasts. The food was very fresh, and there are also a selection of cold cereals, fruit, cheese, and juices. For our first Irish B&B experience, I can't say enough good things about Ballindrum Farm - if you want something central to Dublin and other parts of the east coast, give Mary and Vincent a try.
