We have just had a weeks stay at Beech Lodge self catering - I am a permanent wheelchair user and everything was great for me , I easily coped independently which speaks volumes for the cottage. Apart from that the cottage was spotlessly clean and Mary made us feel very welcome particularly with her super scones and jam - we would recommend the cottage to anyone wishing to stay in that area - even the weather was good. Thanks again Mary.

As we arrived in the late afternoon, quite tired, our host Mary greeted us with her delicious scones and tea. The room we had was small but certainly adequate for a night and spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee were available at all times on the landing between the rooms. Since this is a working dairy farm, we were able to see some cows being milked and learned a lot about their operation from Mary's husband Vincent. The B&B is a short drive to the town where we ate in the hotel dining room, which had a sophisticated menu with excellent food. Mary's breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious. All in all, very good value.

Stayed here having come to Ireland for a family wedding. Mary and Vincent did a great job of welcoming us with gorgeous scones and jam and tea. Loved the breakfast choices! All in all, friendly warm service and hospitality and clean and adequately furnished apartment. Would definitely recommend it. Thanks. Therese.

Room tip: The apartment is a good choice for a family.

We stayed here while attending a wedding reception at a nearby hotel. Despite being in a secluded rural location, the B&B was easy to find, thank to the signposts off the main road. The owner greeted us on arrival with coffee and warm homemade scones, which were gorgeous! We stayed in an annex off the main building, which was set up as a family room (double and 2 single beds). The annex had a wheelchair-accessible wetroom, and all the public areas also seemed to be wheelchair accessible. If I had one quibble, the bath towels were smaller than I would have liked, but that's just me,
The bed was very comfortable, and as the room was large and well aired we had a very comfortable sleep. Breakfast was very tasty, with lost of it! We both had the cooked breakfast, with more of those beautiful scones.

Overall, the B&B was fantastic, and I would have no difficulty recommending it.

A very special place to visit. Have been going for the past several years, can't miss this family when I go to Ireland. You will surely feel welcomed here, by Vince and or Mary, or by one of their 3 incredible sons. This is one of the top rated B&B's in all of Ireland.
As others have noted, you will be enthusiastically greeted with a pot of fresh hot Irish tea, scones and jam both made by Mary.
Each room is comfortable, warm, extremely clean, and quiet ~unless you don't like the sound of the cows lowing in their fields or perhaps raindrops falling on the roof! Impressive views, including some awesome sunsets!
Delicious breakfast is served in the dining room, and lovely company for a chat in the morning is possible with either Vince or Mary. Also much advice along with directions and maps if needed, on where to go and what to see. Convenient to the Kildare race course, as well as National Stud and Japanese Gardens (a must) and points of historical and archeological interest. Only minutes from the market town of Athy.
We enjoy walking on the Avenue under the trees and visiting the dairy run by Vince.
This is a home blessed and filled with much love! A memorable visit is in store for you here!

Room tip: Any room here is a great place to lay your head! All guest rooms are upstairs, excepting therefrom the handicapped facility which is a mini suite with both separate and ground floor entrances. All outfitted to the highest standard and very comfortable with great views of the surrounding farm.
