Description: Paddy Coynes Pub is a beautiful traditional pub set in Tullycross, on Renvyle Peninsula, Connemara. The pub is perfect for anyone looking for a good pint. Whether you fancy a quiet pint in St. Anns (the snug) or a bowl of fresh mussels by the fire, you will always be greeted with a warm welcome. The pub is like a mini museum, where you notice a different artefact on every visit, that always bring up new topics of conversation. We are renowned for our great food & we pride ourselves on serving as much locally sourced produces as we can and even have our own vegetable and herb garden. Never ones to stand still for too long, we run many unique and different events throughout the year - bands, mystery chef competitions, auctions, race nights and many more. Keep an eye here as we will post more information.

Quite honestly the best dinner I had in Ireland. A masterclass you wouldn’t expect from your village pub but they‘re rocking it. Gerry is a wonderful host and the staff is extraordinarily friendly.

Got lucky enough to get a seat at this truly authentic Irish bar and tavern. Everyone there knew each other and were friends. We got there around 8pm in time to meet the family that owns the bar: including Gerard (sp) and Sean - along with Sean’s wife and longtime friene Eamon. In true Irish fashion the jokes conversation flowed like wine, or Guiness rather, and we wish Sean and his friends could have stayed longer because after dinner was when the fun began. But first dinner: absolutely remarkable: we ordered the mussels in white sauce (fantastic and a very generous portion that is easy to share ) and the fresh caught hake fish with chorizo with vegetables grown in Gerard’s garden, and of course a Guinness and two glasses of Sauv Blanc. When we finished dinner Gerard (owner) sat with us and we chatted for another hour or so, and his outgoing, gregarious personality made the night memorable as he is a true showman who’s charisma had us hanging on every word. ProTip: ask him to show you his match stick trick to test your Druid blood

We had dinner both night's of our visit. The food was delicious and I had the fish both times. The atmosphere is relaxed even when very busy. The staff are extremely pleasant and courteous. I think the summer should be extended, and maybe the Chef Jack could continue to delight the customers.

Had a family meal in Coynes last summer. Make sure to book in advance, it can be hard to get a table. The pub itself is really nice traditional Irish. Service was quick. Food was a let down. Medicore seafood and average pub fare overall.

Was on the doorstep at 3.30 when it opened and had a great afternoon's craic round the fire. Just unique and so welcoming.
Ideal place to relax after a good walk!
