Eldon's is situated right in the middle of Roundstone. Its very well run, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are modest enough, but there's everything you need, and the beds are comfortable.
Great breakfast.
Reasonable rates.

We had the best lunch at Eldons with some friends on their first visit there.
A must to try is their mussels, by far the best I have ever eaten. All washed down with Classic French house wines, all at very good prices.
Friendly staff and surrounded with historical paintings of beautiful Hooker yachts.
A MUST PLACE to vist!!!

2 Fish chowders, 2 glasses of Guinness, 2 desserts...a smile and excellent service. After a long journey we were walk in diners and were seated straight away. No fuss just a great Irish welcome. The food was clearly made from scratch, original and absolutely delicious. The Brown side bread that came with the chowder was a lovely, moist texture and so fresh. The ice cream was Brown bread ice cream and was so light it was almost a parfait. Beautiful presented, served promptly and two full bellies. We departed happy people. Visiting this restaurant in Roundstone is a must.

My friend & I stayed a night at the Eldon hotel, which is quite lovely. We had a late lunch so weren't very hungry so decided to grab a quick bite at the hotel restaurant. We both ordered the seafood chowder and glasses of wine. The staff set us up in the sunroom of the hotel as dusk was setting - perfect! The seafood chowder was piping hot and a good portion. It was loaded with fresh seafood, hearty big chicks of fish, crab, mussels, broth was creamy & perfectly balanced - it was THE best seafood chowder I have had in all my travels. Kudos to the amazing hotel & restaurant staff and the chef who created this magical dish. Locked the spoon clean!!!!!

Three of us made an unplanned stop here for dinner. Goats cheese starter is to die for! One of us had the Thai style mussels - delicious. Another had the fillet steak - tender and good quality. I had the lamb shank - amazing!! Very nice service from the waiting staff. Would recommend.
