Stayed at Wits End at the weekend while touring the Wild Atlantic Way with my Fiancée and found it to be a great b&b with lovely hosts Eileen & Nora. Our room was excellent and the breakfast provided was probably the best I've had at any b&b. I would recommend it to anyone touring the area, looking for a stop over for the night. Also a very nice restaurant and pub just down the road. Great value for money and we will definitely be staying at the Wits End if visiting the area again.
This lovely B and B is quite close to the harbour and the restaurants, shops as well, but Roundstone is tiny anyway. We had a great view looking out to the bay, and the distant Connemara mountains - a Paul Henry painting in real life! Warm, welcoming place, and a very very friendly service. Pity we only spent a night here! Generous bottles of toiletries (in my experience this is rather rare), and lovely large fluffy towels - I can be won over with those any time. We slept really well and there was no traffic noise to disturb our sleep. Highly recommended!
We were booked in to Wits End by our dear friends who have been visiting Roundstone for 25 years. Eileen and Nora could not have made us more welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we really felt at home. The scenery is so lovely and we found the local people very friendly. My girlfriend and I booked a room for two nights to explore the beautiful Connemara countryside and simply fell in love with both the Wits End and Connemara. Eileen was a splendid hostess! We chatted a lot and got great support with the planning of our trip. Breakfast was superb (we tried the irish breakfast as well as the smoked salmon, both were delicious) and after a day of hiking we mostly relaxed in our room, which was very tidy, compfortable and quiet. We have nothing to complain whatsoever and will most definitely return to the Wits End in the (near) future!
Arrived on Friday afternoon and Nora showed us to our room - an immaculate well presented comfortable room with a spectacular view of the bay.
Great sleep that night and followed by a 5 star breakfast of muesli, juice, coffee, scrambled eggs and spectacular smoked salmon.
Our host Eileen advised us over breakfast on where to visit for the day and we had a fantastic time .
Much of the same was repeated the following day - although we had to request a smaller breakfast!
I cant recommend this place highly enough
