We ignored some of the negative reviews and were very pleasantly surprised by the food service and value

Chowder was one of the best we’ve had on the wild Atlantic way also tried the Hummus with seaweed which wasn’t unusual and very tasty

Great coffee

Very disappointing, uninspired food from another era that was definitely not worth the price. Cold congealed sauce covered my sea bass and the salad was the cheapest iceberg lettuce with frozen tomatoes. Even the basic Shepherds Pie was cold in the centre and presumably microwaved.

Super busy when we got there at lunchtime but luckily a party were finishing and vacated the table and took their drinks to the bar. We had Guinness (of course!) and the oysters followed by the salmon. Absolutely delicious and the service was first class.

Superb fresh fish, cozy setting, warm service and great value! We’re retired and traveling with dear friends. Following a kind referral from a friend in the neighborhood, we were delighted with the perfectly cooked and lightly sauced fish. A goat cheese tart started the meal impressively. We finished with a fruit tart bearing the perfect combination of sweet pastry, tart fruit and a satisfying texture. Don’t miss it!

We stopped in here mid-week on a cold day in December. It was the perfect spot out of the cold for a couple of toasted sandwiches, fries and some beers. Cosy bar area with a great views over the bay. Staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. There are much more substantial meals on the menu should you be so inclined. Parking available just across the road (although probably not in high season!).
Great Christmas decorations too!
Recommended.
