Having spent the day exploring the wonderful island of Inis Oirr on food we were ready to sit down & relax while we waited from our return ferry to the mainland of Ireland. We came upon Tigh Ned as we approached the pier & we were delighted to see picnic benches in the garden area around the pub. We had cold cider & were able to catch the end of the rugby so everyone was happy!!! Service was friendly & helpful & it was so lovely to hear the locals conversing in Gaeilge with their happy smiles & great laughter. Go raibh mile maith agaibh. :-))
You just have to visit this Island pub. Lunch is great and the craic in the evenings with traditional music is unforgettable.
View, great. Location, great. Special of the day, don't do it. I spent the end of my really excellent holiday in Ireland with food poisoning, totally missed out on Doolin music that night. My husband and some others we visited with had paninis, and were fine. also, the young blond woman at the bar was one of the surliest people we met in three weeks. I really wish we had walked a little further to another cafe.
What a fantastic place. Spent the weekend on Inisoirr and Neds was the star of the show. They only serve lunch but what lovely food it was. Fantastic Lobster and Crab as well as lovely sandwiches and Paninnis. The Beer was lovely as were the staff. A band from Kildare were over for the weekend and the music and Craic were mighty on Fri and Sat Night. Visit Inisoirr Visit Neds
