Great experience here... prime location in Kilronan, bike rental and what a lovely welcome by Jill. (Also, super clean, super fast WiFi and great tips on what to visit. :) ) Not to mention the bike hire voucher, the free entry to Dun Aonghasa as well as the extremely bright and tidy rooms.

A small group of friends visited last week, the staff were excellent and friendly and helpful. Accommodation is perfectly clean and comfortable in a great location. Bikes and tours can be arranged by staff at the hostel and the kitchen facilities make self catering very easy. Highly recommend

Kilronan Hostel is everything you could want in a hostel or in B&B/Hotel. Clean and tidy rooms with spectacular views, friendly staff and a lovely snug pub with a roaring fire a 10 second walk away. You wont want to leave, Jill and Kevin do a great job at making you feel welcome.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the beach

We really fell in love with the biggest island of the aran islands. Inis mor was one of our best weekend trips. Beautiful coast ways and lovely pubs really made us feeling so comfortable. Our host gave us excellent tips and we were able to rent bikes for just 10 euro a day. From our hostel room we could see the sea just a few metres away. Clean and nice bathroom in our hostel room was handy as well. Breakfast was a tasty variety of cereals, bred an things to put on. We were invited to use the fridge and to cook lunch or dinner in a cozy kitchen.

‘Jenny rides’ on a traditional horse and cart are available – just speak to one of the friendly men at the pier.

Kilronan is the main village on the island and is located directly beside the pier.

Noel is our friendly tour guide - 3 hour bus tours of the island cost €10 per person.

Towels are free, just ask at reception.

Uranoscopy is the official name for star-watching and with so few street lights on the island, you’re in the perfect place to enjoy the view!

I arrived in Inis Mor with the Mayo music group Flat Out and booked into Kilronan Hostel right beside the ferry. Despite the island being very busy that weekend the staff at Kilronan managed to squeeze me into a dorm even though my booking was very last minute. Also, as I was in crutches with a broken leg they also made sure a bottom bunk was available. The band played two really enjoyable gigs and we got to spend a lovely sunny saturday enjoying the island atmosphere.
