Description: DeVille's is located on the main street in the old heritage town of Dalkey. Born out of a love of food and the ceremony of dining out, its joint owners brother and sister Kim and David O'Driscoll serve moderately priced, traditional bistro fare seven nights a week with brunch/lunch on Fridays and the weekend. Serving predominantly French wines from a carefully selected wine list, draft beers and an extensive range of spirits & house cocktails there is something for everybody at DeVille's.

Fourteen of us met for an anniversary lunch at De Villes on 14th Jan 2017. The service was excellent and the food was really good. The only reason I didn't give it the "excellent" rating was the space provided. They knew there were fourteen of us but the place settings were far too tight. Having said that we all enjoyed our afternoon and the staff were really friendly and professional. There was a mix of starters/no starters/kiddies portions/ cocktails/ red wine/ white wine/ deserts/ coffee and all were handled with total professionalism and everybody enjoyed the afternoon. We all agreed we would return. Well done De Villes

We had received a voucher for devilles and what better way to spend a lazy Sunday evening. We had booked in advance so no problem. Staff excellent we were told of the evening special but we opted for the menu . Herself had scallops with celeriac and organic salmon for main . I had lamb kidneys with brown bread and trout for main fiinshed off with expressos. This was a 40k round trip but we were recommended to go here by friends. It was worth the trip.

Very cosy with great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive. Menu was full of good options all of which sounded delicious. Food was all wonderful and bistro menu provided great value.

Only issue was that the food came out a bit fast. Will definitely be going back.

Top spot!
Scallops st Jacques starter was exceptional, rib eye was excellent, probably not 28 day aged but still a great piece of steak. Clever, well executed dessert platter topped off a great meal. Wife and kids food was also high quality. Service also good but a little overrun as they were a bit busier than expected. Having said that, all servers were friendly, helpful and they handled a fussy 9 year old with aplomb! Drinks list refreshingly well priced with quality well chosen options.
Although it wasn't where I would have chosen to sit, it was a pleasure to face the kitchen and watch the calm, well organized team go about their business.
Make no mistake, this is a slick operation.
