Went in for some breakfast on a Saturday morning, arrived at 10.15 ordered a coffee and water at 10.20, ordered breakfast at 10.25 left at 10.55 hungry and without coffee! Just before we left I asked the young girl if it was on the way was told there was only 2 of us and offered no apology so we left. I was quite disappointed and frustrated so I popped into the very friendly and apologetic receptionist and told her what happened. She assured me that the owner would be told. Let's hope he listens and sorts the basics out. It maybe a while before we return to see if that's the case!

We went for a lovely walk today along the canal with our dogs intending to finish with lunch in The 12th Lock. We are aware that the dogs are not always welcome and always look for a spot where we can sit outside away from everybody. This seemed to be the perfect spot for that. Lots of very colourful picnic tables outside and absolutely nobody at them. Everybody else was inside. We soon realised why everybody was inside. Apparently only drinks are served at the tables outside - no food.

So we walked 5 minutes down the road and had a lovely lunch outside at half the price.

We will not be back.

Visited with group from work for dinner and drinks. The service was good and the food was OK. Some people liked it more than others. Average is the best way to describe it. I had chicken wings and parmesan fries. While fries were really nice, chicken wings were, again, only average. Good selection of beers on tap and large screens for your sports needs. Also the place has a really large beer garden with lovely setting at the canal.

We were met by attentive staff who gave us a choice of table.

Staff were friendly, and Jakob, the manager was great, but the highlight was the food which was amazing.
I had the vegetarian which was full of crispy fresh veg.
We really enjoyed our meal experience.

Husband and I just stayed here to visit family. Great value, beautiful rooms with lovely shampoo and toiletries. The canal walks are lovely. The train can be a little bit annoying but it does make it handy to get to. Breakfast offers really tasty pancakes too. We will come back.
