Visited Brasserie 15 ( now called De Bruns) in Ashleigh Centre Castleknock yesterday with 4 kids aged 4 to 12. As always, very welcoming to kids and good food. Staff happy to split adult portion of their specialty steak on the stone between two kids. Staff rolled out overhead shutters and put on heaters so kids could play at outdoor pool table after meal. Paul was very friendly, and gave us umbrella's to get to our car during the inevitable Irish rain.

The name of this place now is De Bruns. There's a bar including an outdoor smoking bar with large TVs. Then there's a separate for eats. The menu says it's a pub grub menu, so who am I to argue with that. 4 of us for dinner. Shared starters of chicken wings with hot sauce and Pils Pils. Frankly it's the best Pils Pils I've had in Ireland or Spain! There was some unusual ingredient to it.
Mains were Steaks, stuffed peppers, and Guinness beef stew. Honestly, all were delicious. We were all very happy with the food offerings.
Service staff were efficient and attentive and friendly. €78 for 2 starters and 4 mains. We all agreed this was good value. Will visit again.

Was in De Brun last Wednesday for a meal with a funeral party and had a really gorgeous meal. There was at least 70 people there hungry and cold after the funeral and we all had the most delicious two course meal. There was a great selection, I had the fish cakes which were really yummy and then the beef for main, again faultless. We were sitting at a table for ten people and everyone agreed that the food was fab and talking to various other guests I didnt hear one bad word about the food. So well done to the staff at De Brun, I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant either for a large party or a quiet dinner for two, looking forward to returning.

Four of us had dinner this evening in Brasserie 15.

Super food, well presented and reasonably priced.

Service was a little inefficient, staff needed to be reminded however overall the quality of the food made up.

Will definitely visit again, John

Went to de Brúns, Castleknock for family celebration on Sat afternoon 16th May 2015. As it was important to our family get together we were anxious beforehand. We dined in the restaurant and were very satisfied and not disappointed overall. All 9 adults and 3 children had a great time and great meals (mostly on Early Bird menu). I had the fillet steak-on-stone (a first for me and will be back). Lamb curry and chicken fricassée were gorgeous. Unusual twist on the Bread pudding dessert but nice. However, the chocolate Brownie dessert was a little too rich and decadent for the childrens' palates so a costly waste! Eton Mess was lovely. Soup and desserts a tad expensive. Expensive overall but was considered reasonable value for the very special occasion. It would be a bit expensive for a Sunday Lunch. 10% service charge adds up. In fairness, overall the food quality was excellent as served and the staff could not have been better. All were very attentive, helpful and friendly. Good atmosphere throughout.
