We toured Ireland by car staying in 4* & 3* hotels, guest houses, B&B's and pubs. The was the worst hotel on our tour. We stayed 3 nights and were allocated a room at the rear of the hotel (213?) which overlooked an over ground car park and derelict buildings. The upside was that we had 2 quiet nights sleep. The room was clean, comfortable bed and dated furniture. Saturday night was awful. There was somekind of party going on in function rooms below us until 01.00am. At times we thought our bed was in the middle of the dance floor and then we had an hour or so of door banging and people from the party going from room to room. Awful. Your either a hotel or a function centre you can't be both. Every morning we went down to breakfast we met a restaurant with tables loaded with dirty dishes. There were always 3 or 4 waitresses hiding behind the bakery counter but only one ever seemed to do any work. Every hotel, B&B or even pub that I have ever stayed in always clears away dishes from tables as they are used not just leave them to pile up and then not clear them for some time afterwards.
